Undercutting the boosters

And as you can see, its a continuous recording. No editing.

You are too desperate to discredit my statements with obvious baseless assertions and hollow accusations. There can be only one reason why you would be.

Mass reporting kicks you offline. Theres been others that werent able to get back online afterwards, getting the suspension return when trying to log in.

But youre here trying to deny and throw dirt on what has been known for years.

The lady doth protest too much.

“HURR YOU LISTEN TO STREAMERS”

Posts actual evidence of the streamer being right.

The anti-streamer strawman is such a cop out talking point I swear it’s on some list of things these people are required to say.

Already seen that video.
He got reported by lots of people, which put the automatic squelch on his account.
Then he put up a cropped screenshot saying his account has been silenced.

A couple of things here:

  • This shows the automated temporary squelch, which literally no one has denied happens. It does happen, it’s a thing, that video proves it’s a thing.
  • He shows a cropped screenshot showing an account silence. He does not show the full email, the date it was sent, the name(s) on the account (though that is understandable), nor any of the appeals correspondence (perhaps in a later video?). That image may not have even been from him. We don’t know.
  • It very well may have been a real account action against him that was applied at that moment, but had nothing to do with the mass reporting. It could have been something he did days or even weeks ago and by sheer coincidence happened at the same time as his mass reporting incident.
  • It’s also possible, but very unlikely, that the report was moved to the front of the queue due to the sheer number of reports, the GM saw that it was abuse of the report system, and actioned his account right away. Again, very unlikely, but what he did broke the ToS.
  • There is no corresponding post linked in the Customer Service forum where he could be fact checked. That’s the thing, it’s always on YouTube or Reddit but they never come to the Customer Support forums and ask for clarification on why they were actioned, the one place in all the internet where their claims could possibly be fact checked.

So no, this video does not prove anything except that a streamer got himself muted, then showed a cropped image of an account silence (we don’t even know how long the silence was for due to not knowing when it was issued), and said it was due to mass reporting. That’s it. That’s all that video proved.

Now, if you have actual evidence that mass reporting leads to actual account actions, that is, you know, posted in a place where it can be fact checked, please share the link here.

Can I get a tldr on your denial please

I don’t understand people schilling for a billion dollar company. Maybe he works for Blizz.

Literally the first 3 sentences of my post summarizes it.
If all you have is a “too long didn’t read” then I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s not my responsibility to explain to people who have the patience to watch an 8 minute long video but not the patience to read a response to it.

I’m not defending Blizzard here.
As someone who has worked retail, their customer service is frankly unacceptable. It’s just not for the reasons some people try to say it is, which is frustrating because I want them held accountable which won’t happen as long as people are freaking out over things that are not true while ignoring the actual problems with their customer service.

AUTOMATED BAN

Posts a video of a streamer getting chat muted by the automated squelch function that was implemented in May of 2007 and Blizzard has never denied it existing. The deception of streamers and their fanboys knows no bounds.

Players can’t ban other players. Blizzard has not given multiboxers GM banning powers with extra steps.

These people can’t understand we’re defending truth and rationality here. They don’t have the moral compass required to recognize that lying is bad.

Gave yourself away there. He doesnt just put up a cropped screenshot. He DEMONSTRATES DURING THE SAME VIDEO THAT HE IS UNABLE TO TALK AND CANNOT INVITE OTHERS.

So not only did you lie about having seen it, but you demonstrated you have no intention of reviewing anything that directly contradicts you.

Now youre just protesting comedically too much. Ignored. Either youre arguing in bad faith or youre :poop:posting. Either way youll get no further attention from me.

Being squelched and being banned are not even remotely the same thing.

Here’s the article for the implementation of the automatic squelch from the archive. May, 2007:

https://web.archive.org/web/20070528080211/http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/faq/squelch.html

Finally, once a number of reports for an individual account have been sent to us, that account will be temporarily prevented from broadcasting any further text to anyone. The duration of this “squelch” is long enough for the game master team to investigate and take more severe action against the account if necessary.

It’s nice that you ignore all the times I said:

And I even said that throughout my post. It’s funny how they accuse me of not looking at anything put in front of me as evidence yet they ignore entire swaths of my posts.
Oh well. I think they are just here to argue.

Almost everyone who was “mass reported” who posts in the one place they could get fact checked actually ends up being actioned for a good reason when a blue poster comes in with the receipts.
Yet no matter how many times I suggest to people to go check out the CS forums and see for themselves, they don’t. They’d rather link the couple videos that exist than look at the literally hundreds of posts on the forum.

Message me in game if you are giving out these free boost.

He isnt.

He doesnt have a mage and hes not good enough to boost.

Happen to a guildy and myself in one of the early phases of SoD. Stock boosters mass reported for undercutting by 1g. Took a few days of appeals to have it overturned.

I was not aware you can report people via the AH.

easy fix just ban boosting
