Okay… so I guess we’re just going to keep missing the mark with these grindy FOMO events.
What even is this event? Classic Mists on steroids for a limited time, like why? And you have to re-level a character from scratch to experience it… how is that different from just choosing to level in Pandaria with Chromie Time with a sprinkle of Timewalking Mists thrown in?
I really don’t want to be constantly negative but it’s really hard not to when you’re constantly throwing rehashed old content at us and calling it new while making it a grind fest to boot. Why is it so hard to let go and admit there will be periods of content droughts between major content updates? Why is it so important to keep people chained to the game with faux content instead of letting players go out and explore other games? Oh wait, it’s money isn’t it…?
I almost never cancel my subscription even when I am not actively playing the game, partly because $15 a month means nothing to me and partly because I want to continue supporting a game I’ve played for nearly two decades, but I have to say all these half baked and transparent efforts to to keep that subscription money from drying up lately is making me want to cancel just to make a point and to show my displeasure with these tactics.
Either release genuinely new content or don’t but don’t try to pull the wool over people’s eyes. It’s a really bad look especially when the public is actively looking for improvements following the Microsoft merger and change in leadership. All of this is coming off as petty money grabbing and I don’t like it. Not one bit.
I just dont think the best content should be that hard to do. I think the current normal should be the max difficulty of raiding, and M+ should have a cutoff of the current 10.
I think if you have a really hard endgame, it will cause players to become discouraged and simply quit playing. WoW in general feels way too hard of a game now, between the endgame as the complicated ability rotations and cooldowns.
It’s niche content at best for those kinds of players who can manage it. I see nothing wrong with it, and trying to assume it is the cause of problems within the community is weird.
You’re not forced to do the hardest content. That’s not for you, it’s for someone else who wants that difficulty.
“Additional character slots will be available so that you have room for your new fully leveled and fully geared hero to join you in your continuing adventures through the Worldsoul Saga™”
Does this mean Retail will be getting more slots added to the current 60 character slot cap, making a new character slot cap?
I saw that characters L10 and above will be able to be transferred back to Retail. It would be really annoying to want to be at the 60 character cap and not be able to take the characters you made back to Retail. I’m personally very close to the cap.
If we are going to be getting the character slot cap raised, that is very exciting news for me. Hopefully some clarification will come soon.
