Unacceptable Latency Since Patch and still ongoing

Since launch all the way to today world latency for me has been 5k+ after just a few minutes. This is unacceptable customer service.

I can understand launch day problem but this far in this issue should’ve been resolved after the first patch.

Anyone know a hotfix/work around? because Blizzard is way behind the curve for this.

Same demonic issue.

this is why I left WoW many years ago. Decided to come back in hopes they got their s together after 10+ years. Guess not so I’ll be unsubbing again after this.

WoW is a dying game.

I’d rather play a SP game that puts the effort in to make a finished game rather than a half @ game

latency issues as you describe wouldn’t be server side.

i would start first by doing a UI reset. extremely high pings are sometimes caused by UI problems, and it is quick and easy to test. just follow these instructions. if it doesn’t work, then you can delete the new folders and put the old ones back to restore your UI. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7549

if that doesn’t help, i would post a winmtr. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/27780 run it for 10-15 minutes, you can play during it to make sure that you’re experiencing the bad latency, then post it. you can highlight it and hit the </> button at the top of the reply box to allow it to post, or use pastebin if you have any trouble and just give us the letters at the end of the link.

Did all of that. If you were to check my post, you’d see that in my traceroute, pathping and mtr, the lag is coming from a particular server.

8 2480 ms 879 ms 219 ms ae1-br01-eqny8.as57976 .net [137.221.71.33]

That hop is not showing a problem. Your latency returns to normal on the hop after it, which indicates that hop is just throttling responses to pings and not to actual traffic.

Your pathping doesn’t show any problems.

The looking glass mtr’s you posted may show an issue near your house, but that is not the same test as the winmtr as traffic is travelling the other way and may not take the same route, so running a winmtr will give us better information.
