Howdy!
We are currently aware of issues with AMD GPUs and DirectX 12. However I don’t recall it giving this error. Usually, either the client will turn white and crash on launch with no error, or take 3+ minutes to launch. I still recommend both workarounds below:
- First open the AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition (If you are missing this then you will need to install the latest AMD Driver for your GPU)
- Now select the Settings cog in the corner of the program
- Select the Graphics tab and expand Advanced
- Now click on Perform Reset next to Reset Shader Cache
Close the AMD Software.
- Launch World of Warcraft with the DirectX 11 API following the steps Here.
Retest.
If the issue were to continue, the Windows Error Reports show multiple Time Out and Detection errors P1: 141 and P1: 142. I recommend the following:

Disable all Windows startup programs to help rule out a third-party software conflict following the steps Here. Complete step 4 before you start the PC.

Download the latest AMD driver Here and move it to your Desktop. (Don’t run it yet) Then download and run the AMD Cleanup Utility, restart the PC, and once back in Windows reinstall the AMD driver before retesting one more time. Retest the game!
