Whenever I attempt to enable my authenticator on the Battle.net app on my phone I receive an error that something went wrong with a link to the battle.net FAQ page which offers no answers to my particular issue.
I did, originally, use the authenticator app, but I removed it after I installed the new Battle.net app. I did not remove the authenticator from my account, though. Just the app after it became obsolete.
I have full access to my account, am using the linked mobile number (same phone and sims card) and I can receive texts for SMS verification codes. Edited to add that my account says I have an authenticator active, but I have no option to restore it if that even applies here.
What could be the issue?
Can you log into the bnet app on your phone? The authenticator should be enabled. If you can’t login to either, which does not seem to be the case, then a ticket would be needed to remove it, then probably start with a fresh serial code on the app.
Yes I am logged in. When I click on authenticator it prompts me to enable it and when I select the option to do so I get an error. It’s like it doesn’t think I have one, yet my account says I do. I have my four bags slots and I get authenticator codes to enter anytime I log in, but I have to bypass them and use SMS texts to log in. Is there a way to add an image?
Am I able to deactivate the authenticator and then reactivate it as a restore? Would that allow me to actually enable it on the app finally?
