Currently Doomscale Warden can be cheesed by being brought over to the stairs making it so they don’t cast Grasp of Fang as soon as it reset their cast sequence. Making it so if you meet the dps check there’s simply no mechanic. This doesn’t really feel intented and a bit like the shield on Coiled altar that got nerfed probably should be revised down considering many raid teams have cheesed this and how twitchy the mechanic feels on heroic when the Grasping Fang debuff hurts as much for holding the link. The damage without a near perfect healing comp seems very high.
Serpent’s bite in P3 is also quite annoying for melee healers and melee heavy groups because of how it targets and how you need to position for it. I’m not quite sure what you can do there to make it feel fair but targeting the healers as a whole when some are melee and some are range doesn’t seem good, their melee and range aspect should be respected for this type of mechanic in my opinion.
More a personal thing but swimming in the poison to get on the side platform feel also rather clunky. You can gate one way but have to swim to get back, having some wind to bring you back could make this a bit less clunky.
As far as tanking the fight doesn’t seem really that interesting as you’re mostly surviving a dot the whole fight, it’s a bit of a downer after Coiled Altar which felt great for tanks moreover with this type of boss that doesn’t move. It’s a bit of a shame for a last boss, even Lura felt a bit more interactive as it feels really forced to have 2 tanks on this fight simply because the tentacle will kill people if untanked and how you most likely won’t survive multiple tank debuff from Ulatek, a bit of a deception. For this type of boss you might as well let people solo tank it. It simply feels quite off as a fight outside of the animation and theme (which both still look great) and I’m not sure I can explain too much more why.
