Yeah, this is true about how fast the gearing really is now. I feel like a day of BGs to gear a toon is probably too long an estimation really, just depends on how your factions queues go that day. Plus at the same time you’re farming honor gear, your gaining Conq in the process too.

Yeah, there’s also factoring in the crafted piece, bloody token piece and even boe crafted stuff.

Doesn’t even take that long unless win rate is abysmal.
It’s like 11.5k honor for a set, less if you have one or two of your embellish pieces already.
In an afternoon of BG farming, with a bit of win luck, you could get there. If you have guildies or friends get 4 of them and it’ll be even quicker, and it’s always more fun to play with friends.
Gearing up is so stupid fast this expansion, especially compared to SL. It’s a wild thing to complain about.

If you had full honor, you can buy a full set of 437 gear for like 7k or something
Then don’t play 14 characters if you’re so busy.

Dear Lord… PvPers put up with that?
At one point it cost close to a full Honor cap to upgrade your weapon to the final rank.

Not for long lol. I gave up on SL after season 1, and alot of my PvP friends did as well. I’m sure some folks stuck it out tho.
Whoever thought it was a good design to require dozens of full honor caps to upgrade gear, which even upgrading was locked behind rating btw, should never be involved in video game design ever again.

Yeah it was absurd.
A streamer/youtuber did the math on how long it would take for a casual PvPer to upgrade their gear thru random bgs back in SL. IIRC it was like a week and a half or so, and that was playing 8hrs a day every day with a 50% WR. Granted in rated bgs it was far quicker than that, but still a pants-on-head stupid gear system.

Yes… of course. That is how PvP seasons work. Always have.
Same story for raid tiers. New raid drops you have to replace all you gear with new gear from the new raid.
That’s just how it is in WoW, and how it always has been.
Welcome to Blizzard. I’m sure I’ll get forum banned. I’ve been away for 4 years due to the stupid things they implement in the game to cause PVPers to have to GRIND out gear. They know its a cash cow for them. They can keep the subscription base if they keep changing the gear every season and put requirements to top out on PVP gear.
