Highly doubt it. Even the accusations sound very consensual. Don’t think it would hold up in court, a lot what was exchanged was reciprocated.

Yeah one of the new words we recently started using more often. My cousin warned me not to let a women “groom me” when I was 20. Boils down to influencing people to act a certain way.
Term gets thrown around way too often imo. Hell you could say my GF grooms me by making me want to do more stuff around the apartment and for her in particular but idk if I should go on twitter and cry about it.
I’m going to say overreaction. Companies are so damn scared of getting canceled themselves, so they’ll absolutely overreact and try to put distance between them and the person in question. Problem is, such reactions don’t help the rumor mill.
“Well, they fired him! He must be guilty! They wouldn’t do that unless they know something that isn’t public, would they?”
Mind you, not accusing you of anything, but your own post clearly shows how such things can have a snowball effect as you yourself even jumped to the following conclusion:
The scary part comes when you have companies that flat out know that’s how most people will react, therefore they’ll use such tactics as a weapon against someone they want to get rid of. It’s disgusting.

So even if things are “peachy” a celebrity interacting with a fan in that kind of manner is highly suspect and definitely irresponsible.

In this context, grooming is the action by a paedophile of preparing a child for a meeting, especially via an internet chat room, with the intention of committing a sexual offence.
Since some of the accusers of Flynn claimed to be minors at the time, if those allegations are true (and there is allegedly evidence in the form of screenshots that were posted on the now private twitter account) then he was engaged in some extremely disgusting behaviour.
Lmao I don’t trust rumours about anything in Star Wars considering how that fanbase treated Rose’s actress and John Boyega.

I mean, they gave her several warnings to stop posting the things she was posting. As one of the cast of a Star Wars show, and an extremely popular one at that, she was essentially a representative of the Star Wars brand, and Disney and Lucasfilm both have strict social media policies.
Allegedly she apologized for her behaviour, said she wouldn’t repeat her actions, then literally a few days later returned to posting the same things that got her in trouble. The post comparing Republicans in America to Jews during the Holocaust was the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.
