The funniest part I find about that is that I think they were trying to do the whole “Tier sets matching the raid and less tier sets to make”
And it’s exactly the same thing they are doing in BFA. I am not saying the BFA sets are ugly (uldir are tho) like the AQ ones but you can tell that they were trying to be more lazy with AQ, turned out no one liked it and now they are trying again years later lul.
Nightslayer is easily one of the better-looking sets, in my opinion. I think Lawbringer is the worst-looking tier 1. All the tier 2 sets look at least decent. Several tier 3 sets don’t look “bad” per se, but they look like something that belongs in a science fiction setting rather than WoW. Paladin might look worst there, again, but it has competition.
Tier 1, Actually decent, just depends on the class.
Tier 2 , 100% agree freaking awesome!
Tier 2.5, agreed it was odd for sure.
Tier 3, it’s ok, some of the sets were sick others were meh…
Tier 4, Hunter tier 4 was drab as hell… Other class sets were sick tho.
Tier 5, I like to just call this… Crystals, many many crystals; lots of crystals.
Tier 6, best set since T2, a true master work. Best set since Vanilla for sure.
Sunwell loot, never really called it T6, more or less it finished T6 and had some odd duck extras, still good looking. =)
To be honest, I have a feeling the Dev team just ran out of time to make the AQ sets look nicer. There is no way the artists who worked on Tier 1, 2, 3 sets, spent the same amount of time on the AQ sets as they did on the other tier sets.
Imo nightslayers was the best looking set in all of classic and the worst looking has to be either druid tier 1 and paladin tier 1 they are neck and neck for the ugly trophy
