The addon Bartender4 (use /bartender in game if you have the addon) allows you to resize the Micro Menu (option is toward the bottom under UI Bars. I just adjusted the padding to -8 and it fits perfectly where it used to be.

No, it’s a bug, and Blizz made a note of it before the servers even came up yesterday:
I played with it at max zoom for a while just for sh*ts and giggles but felt like a psychopath after a couple minutes
The pointer icon for interacting with things was changed. Will the pointer be updated as well? It’s quite old…
the size that it’s at NOW is still the “natural” size it will be when it’s not bugged.

the bug doesn’t change the fact that it’s still much bigger than it was.
It just means we can’t currently scale it down.

I found a WA that shrinks the micro menu! 
Thank you for that, I use Bartender and will be happy to make that quick adjustment.
I don’t mind the new icons, but this large size increase is just obnoxious, especially since it can’t be easily sized back to what it was while still as visually readable with Edit Mode (though hopefully if posts above are accurate, will be adjustable down in the future)
This is why i still use my Bartender4.

I don’t understand why everything in the micromenu isn’t a dropdown/scroll out from a single object on the screen.
It’s OK. Usable. The previous iteration was a bit on the small side for my taste. But I don’t pay a whole lot of attention to UI fiddly bits, unless and until they get in the way.
UI scale to 64%.
Increase things back upto where you want them.

You might be able to resize it with bartender without messing with any others
I did find a WA that resizes it. I don’t want to redo my bars with Bartender. And it’s not updated.
Edit: I think I misunderstood the “not messing with anything else” part. Sorry!
