Just can’t take it. Lol If Jake Paul wants to put on boxing circus matches and make money off it, then good for him. I don’t even like Tyson, society seems to forget what he was convicted of. Mike Tyson deserves to be left on an island somewhere and forgotten.
But Jake Paul deserves respect? Come on, he just script fought a senior citizen for viewer cash. He’s a showman, not an athlete.

I don’t think it’s a jealousy thing, Jake Paul and his brother have been comedic jokes ever since the early Vine days. They have zero respect from any decent human being. From doing absolutely disgusting trash like filming unalived bodies in Japans unalive forest to pulling garbage stunts on homeless people. They have always been sub level humans and anyone who thinks otherwise probably was an ipad kid who didn’t know any better growing up.
As far as the fights? This entire switch of the sport to “boxing for cash grabs and lulz” is sending boxing down a path of WWE or WWF type seriousness. No one takes Jake Paul seriously and they never will until he actually works his way into a legitimate pro boxing circuit like every other professional boxer has had to do.

That fight was brutal, and 100000000% more about what real boxing is all about. Both fighters gave it their all and were equal skill level going in, equal weight range etc. As soon as that fight was over I stopped watching because I knew how much of a joke Jake Pauls fights have been over the years.

which he’ll never have to do. He’s got old retired fighters needing paydays calling him out all the time. And the people who think he’s legit need nothing more. So there’s no real incentive to do anything else. He’s making insane money with this gimmick stuff. It’s crazy how much “celebrity” boxing has taken off.
I’m not sure how anyone could like either Paul brother as a person, but it is what it is… they’re making a lot of money off this stuff.

And this is the truth about the entire garbage…it’s not about boxing anymore or the sport itself…it’s straight up about the payday. It really casts a sad shadow over the entire sport and the individuals who have worked for 20+ years to get to where they are and compete in a legit circuit for titles that actually mean something.

This is an entirely seperate conversation from 3ring circus productions like last night’s main event. The boxing world itself (primarily the promoters, but the brutal bureaucratic infighting and jockeying for relevancy the sanctioning bodies engaged in played a significant role in crapping all over their own dinner table) is almost entirely responsible for the sport’s collapse in popularity and relevancy.
