Tyrande got her revenge

I’m not saying I support communism.

But much like the Russian Empire, it says a lot about the horde when -that- ideology is suddenly a more viable option than the current leadership.

“Wait and see instead of complaining.”
[we wait and see, the thing we complained about is exactly what we said it would be]
“Why didn’t you say something sooner?”

I would only hope that my lame joke about seizing the means of video game production not be taken as entirely literal, but apologies if it genuinely struck a nerve.

I’m out of the loop, are people actually still going “wait and see?”

Because we waited and saw. We’ve known for a long time how that ends up because it only ever ends one way. I figured that was settled by now.

You’re fine, I’m just twitchy.

It probably doesn’t help that even the most milquetoast social reforms have been getting called “communism” for so long by such garbage people that the current definition of it for Americans is basically “anything left of center.”

“You toxic fans with your negativity. We have to create writing dojos just to drown you out.”

Lmao the dojo thing… god I forgot about that. What a bunch of manbabies.

If I remember my timetables right, this is still content they dreamed up like two expacs ago, yes? When do we start getting an expansion story Christie Golden headed up?

That’s if she hasn’t been fired over the reaction to this writing that she didn’t do.

I’m not suggesting we shouldn’t complain, if you’re referring to my post. I’m just suggesting that wait and see hasn’t always been invalid. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t. My point is merely that I personally am not yet going to flail about the apocalypse with regards to Tyrande. And I’m also not going to say that everything blizzard says is going to be a lie, because simply speaking, it isn’t. Not always at any rate.

She’s basically our Luke Skywalker at this point.

So it didn’t actually happen.

Given that this is, for all intents and purposes, a shot-for-shot remake of an expansion in which the Alliance were famously ignored, neglected and despised by the developers, how likely does this actually seem to you?

Kicking over some rocks in Darkshore is officially canon as revenge for all of things that happened to Tryande, not like her world tree was burned to a crisp and thousands of people died.

Oh wait.

This is a fundamental misrepresentation of Warcraft one and two. There were virtually no female characters in those games. It was far more like: Green shirtless dudes commit warcrimes with no female characters around.

IIRC Warcraft one wanted to be a Warhammer game but they couldn’t get the license.

The franchise is literally off-brand Warhammer.

Yeah, you’re not wrong. I tend to gloss over that as everything I like about the franchise came along in WC3 or later.

My feeling after trying a lot of MMOs over that last three months is particularly games that have non-consensual PvP attract the worst players far more than any story elements.

I remember being like: This community is spectacularly toxic… oh wait these people were in WoW they were just contained in their PvP servers so I didn’t have to deal with them.

Not 100% true.

In the first game there was:

  1. Nameless mother
  2. Runaway daughter
  3. One brainwashed assassin in a bikini

Warcraft 1 was more progressive than Warcraft 2 because Beyond the Dark Portal was the only time we got a lady and it was just Alleria alone.

[insert galaxy brain here]

Oof, I forgot all about Nameless Mother. Maybe I was being too harsh.

Exactly.
