Tyrande despises all undead huh?

Could the initial meeting have been better? Yes. But when push came to shove the Orc turned right back to the demons and murdered Cenarius.

But he was dead, just like the wild gods that died in WotA.

you’ve misquoted that entire clip to support your weak point.

THIS is what happened.

Shandris: You’ve been staring at the forest for sometime priestess.
Tyrande: I sense something dark in the forest Shandris.
Shandris: The green skins that killed Cenarius?
Tyrande: Perhaps, perhaps something more.
Tyrande casts a Sentinel owl to observe the humans and Orcs working together.
Both she AND Shandris knew the Orcs had killed Cenarius. I suggest you go watch that again.

Because it was only in W3 and in that same game she helped the Elves. Of course she suspicious of the new green skins, especially after the start cutting trees ( she could have dealt with that better) but it’s compounded by the fact that they murdered Cenarius.

Remind me when that happened? Was it at the meeting with Jaina and Thrall?

Local Night elf thinks shooting unknown entities on your land is an acceptable thing to do even though you canonically spend all of your time hiding to the point that the Tauren didn’t even know you exist.

Totally not crazy btw.

No. It was a character flaw she overcame during the campaign. Of course she helped Kael and the blood elves later. For one, they are “cousins” to the night elves and two, this is after she developed out of her Xenophobia because it’s an entirely different campaign that takes place around a year after the first one.

The mental gymnastics of Nelf fans is astounding. Just curious, have you guys actually played WC3 or are you just going off of Wowpedia summaries. I honestly don’t know which would be worse.

Not even close.

The Horde didn’t have undead in Warcraft 3.

This was in Enemies at the Gates, the first mission for the Night Elves. The intro cinematic where Tyrande scouts them with her owl. And there’s a conversation between and Orc and Duke Lionheart.

its…a forest…
They didn’t even know it was “their property” to begin with…

I too hate the entirety of the german people for WW2

Exactly, I once again need a minimum of 10 characters so thats it.

Well after WW2 we have had the nurnburg trials. Which goal was Denazification of the whole population.
Germany was occupied and gouverned by the allies.
Responsibiles, even Guardsmen of concentration camps are still till this date searched and put into court. They are sentenced even today for their crimes.
This was also done with profiteurs. They also were punished.
Every! single leader or architect was executed.

So if we want to go that ww2 germany model:
We have to occupy Orgrimmar and have the Wardens put the people there on trial. Judging them how they have profitated or participated.

Which is basically what I was advocating for in a different thread.

Hence why many places require good signs to establish how it can be defended.
Or duty to retreat.

Death Knights are Undead, unlike the ones that willingly gave in for power; player Death Knights die & got resurrected.

Also, it is extremely rare for some1 to get resurrected in the lore; just because we do it every day in-game doesn’t mean that is how it actually works in lore.

I know its not the same thing but what I’m saying is that a lot of people in the alliance seem to hate the Orcs as a race and the Undead as a race because of the actions of certain people within those races just like the xenophobia thing the other guy was talking about. A lot seem to hate them even for the original Orcish Horde which isnt the same group.

Resurrection is much like Blood Elf lifespans. Completely inconsistent. Scarlet characters keep coming back because they canonically keep getting revived. Outside of them, Lei Shen, Illidan, Xavius, and Medhiv are the only mortal characters that are outright resurrected. At least to my knowledge.

I already said that they could have handled that better. No argument.

False. There have been Tauren druids in the Cenarion Circle during the Long Vigil. Hammul was just the first in a long time.

I don’t see it as xenophobia. She distrusted the Orcs because of Cenarius and the humans by association. They were definitely isolationist but I don’t see where she saw her people as better than the others. And while she may have gotten over her distrusted if the other races she did not get over her hatred of the arcane, which is exactly what the Blood Elves are using she got to them. She still helped them despite that.

Didn’t play it but I’ve watch the videos of the missions. So I saw for myself what happened.

But she didn’t even know about the demons until later. Why with she take the word of the same people that murdered Cenarius? She said she sensed someting but didn’t know what. At that time she knew for a fact that they had killed Cenarius and were still in her lands and so they were, in her eyes, the immediate threat. The undead and the demons didn’t show up until later.

Well the Orcs iterally pillaged and murdered them for several time … and then we have that “new horde” who … continued even without demon blood.

It is not about race but about trust and experience.
It is just coincidence and typical fantasy black and white narration that the horde is composed of th eone race and the alliance of the other.

But reason for the hatred are … well the actions of said race or better organisation.

Thats wrong actually.
Not even Taurens were allowed in the forests during th elong vigil. Taurens just knew about ghosts in the forests that kill you if you enter.
In Wc3 Cairne has no idea what happens. The concept of Nightelves were even for them unknown and forgotten.

Because they were having a private conversation she was spying on. There’d be no reason for them to lie to each other. She even knew they were refugees of the plague. It is very bizarre to overhear a private conversation of people saying ‘we’re enemies of the demons’ and not try to talk to them about it.

One could easily conclude either a confusion/mistake took place or this is a different group.

People definitely get hyper focused on race.

More like people use WoW as an avenue to vent their racist proclivities in a socially acceptable way. I’ve talked to quite a few people in the lore community in a personal sense and I’ve found the people who “hate” certain wow races tend to be real life racists most of the time.

Thats the main reason I don’t really get the blind hatred she has for “trespassers”

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that, I think they just really get into the in game conflict.

Didn’t I explain you the concept of Wood elves before?
The Trespassers were chopping th eforest and killing the inhabitants.

If you want to give people the benefit of the doubt, that’s fine, but I promise you, if you spend enough time around the “xxx race needs to die/be ruled over” crowd outside of these forums you will start to see what I mean.
