I use old flying 99% of the time, i don’t really need to go 500 miles an hour with swooping mechanics and stuff, it’s a mode of transportation, not a mini-game 
Each to their own though, I’m glad some of you guys like it, but if you’re genuinely wondering why there’s pushback, it’s because they forced the new type of flight as the default and time gated old, slow, and “utterly boring” flying unnecessarily.
Why do we have to earn it back over and over while dragonriding is handed over by default? It’s like a driving game giving you a $2,000,000 supercar as your daily driver, but you need to work hard to repeatedly earn back your 20 year old Toyota.
