If they’re the ones I’m thinking of they have an armor removal ability. Getting that stacked means you’re fighting them naked.

How did you die as prot paladin? I was 385 ilvl when I easy run trough those crabs with paladin and Druid as well.
I don’t know if it’s fair comparison Druid to paladin but they are both tanking spec. I know Druid is better then prot but still it should been such issue.
But actually you have to watch out for their claw ability. It hits like a truck
The elite crabs in Nazjatar are pretty easy to kill. They have 2 cleave abilities that do a ton of damage, but they barely have any range to them. You can just run away from those attacks and run back in. GG EZ.
As for the aggro, I remember a random debuff that makes you aggro all of the crabs around you for 20-30 seconds. I don’t remember how you get hit by it. I think it has to do with the geysers.
Prot Pally’s have very little damage. And with armor breaks, it means a long battle. More likely to die if they get lucky.

This isn’t a scaling issue, this is an issue of OP getting ravaged by two elite crabs using powerful abilities. If I’m not mistaken, I think the one ability is a conal, where they hold still and the other ability is a stacking sunder armor debuff.
OP got destroyed because they didn’t avoid avoidable damage.

Those crabs are pay2win and shelled out to gain elite status.
You gotta love the idea of literally killing old GODS this month…then a new expansion hits and a wolf, a crow and a pretty moth can slaughter you

Don’t those mobs also have an ability similar to aspect of the turtle? If it’s what I’m thinking of, it makes them hard to damage for several seconds.
Everyone knows you fight crabs with a special shampoo and a tiny comb!

Two of those Behemoths at once, not good. Not when melee can’t be avoided. At times, those crabs look as if 'box-car’ed. Would that explain it? Doubled melee damage, doubled debuffs? It would probably be more intense than fighting two random crabs.

I have unironically hibernated the elite crabs before. Those guys are nasty.
