Lol. You can’t grasp that some people actually like the expansion as it?
You referring to DKP?
We used to use a zero sum dkp system and it worked pretty well. The people that put the most time and effort into raiding were the ones that usually received the loot. Not sure whats so unfair about that. As we became geared the loot would end up going to everyone by default eventually anyway.
no, that’s you not knowing or caring that you’re in a guild with some immature idiots.
Well that doesn’t mean they are addressing balance tomorrow then. Which is what I’m responding to there.
I hope they give more than a 5% buff because that still doesn’t come close to addressing the gap between the highest dps and lowest. And the haste nerf wasn’t something that needed to ever happen.
Like I said, we’re only 3 weeks in. Season is 1 week old and raids just dropped, things take time to test and implement.
if it’s , you know it now. you don’t have to wait 3 weeks, and take another sniff.
And like I said, I was not responding to a comment that said, they’ll address it more than three weeks in. For all I know Fury could be the new Demonology.
I feel like this is a very toxic take on the situation, but you can believe what you want. I believe Ion and the game devs are paying close attention and making the best moves.
I would agree except they have been doing internal testing on this stuff for months at this point. If it takes the entire community all of five minutes to figure out that warriors/havoc dh/sin rogues are utter garbage but Blizzard still couldn’t after months I heavily question whether they’ll ever get it right.
Tuning on literally everything from conduits to covenants to classes has been borked as all hell since alpha.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still holding out hope, I just don’t have much faith they’ll pull through anymore.
Wouldn’t say that but it’s certainly way better than bfa
My favorite one was where the RL gave out attendance points like some kind of kindergarten class and after 4 weeks you were given the privilege of bidding on loot. Of course the veterans always could bid on anything they wanted
That’s rich.
See this is a mature take, I feel like most people are just complaining to complain.
That makes perfect sense from a logistical standpoint though. Back then gear was much scarcer and the loot that dropped in raid was for the most part the only upgrades people were getting, so it made sense to prioritize the members who had stuck around (higher probability of the loot staying in the raid team) rather than chance the loot going to waste by giving it to a complete newbie to the team.
LOL master loot. seriously give that up if even 10% abuse it that is too much so it needs to stay gone. Moving on the loot tuning feels like it would be ok in a free-to-play game but since subscriptions are being paid asking folks to spend months farming a raid or dungeon for little returns is asking a bit too much. It needs to change and bets are it will. See ya soon when the loot drop rates increases because right now it’s not very satisfying game play to not get anything most times unless in a guild farm group.
So it didn’t matter that you were better just make sure you were tenured with the guild and it’s all fine and dandy. Bet that did wonders for recruiting new people
It actually did because it allowed you to weed out the more self-orientated players who only cared about themselves and their own performance, and instead focus on recruiting the players who treated raiding as what it is (a team-based activity) who would be willing to sacrifice their own performance for the performance of the team as a whole.
And if you didn’t fit into said team because you cared more about gearing yourself than your raid, then I’m sure that you could relatively easily have found a raid of like-minded individuals rather than asking a bunch of people you just met to conform to your ideals.
You won’t fit into every team, learn when you don’t.
It’s good to know these things up front because I know my efforts to be the best I can and that is my contribution aren’t wasted on a group that values just showing up and rewarding mediocrity for being a warm body regardless of their performance. Don’t worry I left right after the discussion of how loot was handled.
So you acknowledge that you didn’t fit in and that you didn’t see eye to eye with them on ML, and then I presume went on to find a new group that disliked ML as you do, correct?
So why then do you advocate for the removal (or more likely advocate against the re-addition of ML) when you yourself acknowledge that it’s a matter of preference, adding nothing but more options for those that want them, and that if you act intelligently you can avoid any conflict that could come with it?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but this just sounds a whole lot like “I don’t like it and got screwed by it so nobody is allowed to like it or do it,” not gonna lie.
i did a heroic nighthold run with a guild who wanted me to run mythics with them eventually when i was still on SoE. they gave me literally every single thing that dropped i could equip. those mean master looters. it should exist for 100% guild groups. if you don’t trust your guild find a new one.
