Two and a half weeks later and Blizzard is already back to BFA mindset

Well the beauty of the pre-forced personal loot days is that you had a choice. Didn’t like ML? Make your own group and choose the system that worked best for you.

they use to, before barrowed power, and all those “hamster on a wheel” systems.

Imagine farming a boss for months waiting for that trinket to drop. You’ve been showing up consistently, on time, with all your consumables ready to go. You go through the routine and down the boss. The trinket finally drops. “Sorry, I know you’ve been wanting this but my bud that we are carrying this week just came back to wow and also wants this trinket. Maybe next time!”

This is master loot.

I’m sorry but it seems like you have a bad guild if that happens, in Classic a lot of fair Loot Council guilds exist and they aren’t uncommon since it’s a very reputation driven thing to begin with. I think Loot Master is a good idea, it’ll keep the community accountable for bad behavior.

Master loot only works if it’s done in good faith. You only need to look at this year alone to see that people only do things for their self interests. I’m glad blizzard got rid of it and hopefully will never bring it back.

The community will never get better if they don’t hold each other accountable and imo master loot is a good way to do that because ripping people off of loot will get you blacklisted and exposed just like in Classic and it’ll ruin opportunities down the road.

So holding loot hostage so people will “behave” is an extremely toxic way to play this game. Sorry but if you want that go to classic.

Fair enough reason for the idea i suppose, except this wouldn’t work in Retail like it did in Classic.

How is that in anyway toxic? When loot drops and there’s a master loot and a loot council, it goes to people who determine who should get it based off logs and whatever other metrics that they tell you before you join. Most people never have a problem with master loot in Classic.

It might not at first, but i’d be wiling to bet that people will get used to it once they see it working.

It might not ever since Cross realms and connected realms as well LFG are a thing.

So what this game is a a second job where you are only going to get loot if you perform to some standard? :joy: :joy: Again, you are assuming people are fair. They are not. Nope, never master loot again.

Again you’re just projecting your inexperience with Master Loot and Loot Council onto the system at hand, and if the game feels like a job to play the game at a decent standard then maybe try more casual guilds that have a different system besides Master Loot.

No it’s just the reality of things and blizzard in that post also acknowledged that the problem with Master loot is how much control a few select have over the rewards. Not gonna happen.

That’s where we can agree to disagree, I hope they make the changes.

At the end of ML’s lifecycle you couldn’t get ninja looted as 80% or more of the group had to be a part of the same guild, and if you did somehow get “ninja looted” at that point it was your own damn fault for letting it happen to you.

They got rid of ML so they could cut down on CS tickets, it’s not rocket science.

That or the goofy player made loot systems where your bidding against other players for a chance at the loot. I am glad its gone and I am sure it cuts down on the tickets being opened over ninja looting.

that wasn’t holding loot hostage that was giving loot to ppl who put in the time and work in order to get that loot. it worked as ppl who wanted loot put in the time and learned how to play

Not really. Especially not for Fury.

We’re only 3 weeks in, at least give them month or two figure stuff out. Patience will pay off, Blizzard is very good at reading feedback.
