Oh, this is good news for our 3rd who had to dip at 14.

I was luckily able to do it as Prot Pally… but even as prot with a LOT of powerups (including vers, damage reduction, +health%, LOTS of damage powerups), the last boss was easily doing more damage in one spell than my total health (towards the end).

I say I’m lucky because as Prot Pally I can silence with my shield throw, stun, disorient, and interrupt. If I didn’t have the silence from my shield throw, I probably would’ve died because I just wouldn’t have enough defensive cooldowns. 3.1 mil HP on that boss made it take quite a while lol.

It’s definitely not optional and the story doesn’t end this week… so I wonder if we’ll have to go back in next week?

So what does “optional” mean in this context?

I have a feeling that there wont be anymore twisting corridor quests. It was just an intro into that content and was a close on those few quests. If there are more quests after they’ll probably use the Scenario style ones they’ve had for everything else.

Would have been nice to get a little more warning that you would keep going after floor 6. Passed up on a damage building skill that popped at the vendor on Floor 6 that I passed up due to being conditioned that I’d be finishing up and thus wouldn’t have any use for a skill that increased damage based on Ashen vases busted.

By the time I reached 12… I had a good bit of life but just couldn’t do the damage to keep up with the berserk mechanics of the boss due to lack of damage and the almost insane inflation of health (900k+ for the boss).

Just do the first 6 floors three times if you wanna complete the story progress. The rest is optional. Don’t do it if it’s too hard for you.

I just finished the 18 floors and yeah totally see why it can be “optional” almost took me 40-45 mins I hope the next week quest isnt like this sending us to each layer

Just Completed Layer 5 in Twisted Corridors, tomorrow going to finish it for the Mount then done with it till more gets added, just want my Mount and I’m Gucci.

You dont have to do it. I’m not gonna do it. Theres no reason to do it. You cant possibly say that you have to have that little crumb of soul ash. Who cares.

Ok paladin we get it your class is good in torghast some of us aren’t so lucky

Not really. Most of us would go ‘oh, I’ll try again maybe get better powers’ then complete the quest on floor 6.

I just finished floor 12, having fun with it so far. Already have almost 50 powers and I mix it up. For every 2 or 3 offensive I take a defensive.

o.O

I guess dying IRL is optional too.

You know, because you only do it once.

What you said is really dumb.

Equating real life with a video game is a quick and easy way to ruin whatever point you’re trying to make.

Words mean exactly the same thing in a video game as they do in real life.

I had fun doing this. By floors 16 and 17, you have an absurd amount of power boosts, but the enemies are also hitting extremely hard, it’s kill or be killed up there lol.

It makes me excited for what type of solo challenges could await later in the expansion.

As to why they set the questline up this way, I guess they want to give players a taste of the more intense levels, maybe fail, and then go back in to finish.

It’s bound to cause some complaints, and maybe the quest will be changed eventually, but I thought it created a sense of danger, which is part of what the questline is all about.

Critical Shot is absolutely brutal on floor 17. That’s the ability I noticed the most. I couldn’t let a single one go off on the gatekeeper at the end of that floor.

Funny thing you can use your own words to what you said.

Because that content is actually optional.

People can literally do the first boss 3x times it will be fast and easy and they still complete the quest, which is as obligatory as a mission table, because all it does is an introduction to said content. So ya.

Prolly not, seems more like lazy coding. Soo it is a lazy accident lol.
Or they just didnt care if you failed, which is most probable after the overpowered torghast complains.

I don’t think that being able to go back in was an oversight.

More likely they expected a lot of players to get a couple of clues and then run out of lives before getting the 3rd.

This would allow players to experience what happens at that point, which would have been unlikely to happen in the relatively easy floors during earlier quests.

Then go back and get the 3rd clue.

The whole thing is designed as a bit of a surprise, because there is no indication at first that you need more than one clue.

You are supposed to feel like you are climbing higher and higher into dangerous territory. I thought it worked quite well, tbh. It was pretty exciting by the end.

It’s not optional. I cleared the entire 18 set fairly easy but its tied to the storyline. I didnt even find out the floor 6 was even possible till after i cleared and i found it out in a whine thread. Stop gurgling the floor 6 x3 as if its A). Common knowledge and B)Intended.
