Yeah but on the flipside, BGs didn’t give you xp till that happened either.
So there was little reason to go in there cause of twinks.

You make a good point. Also saying ‘later in the expansion’ is a bit misleading. It was 3.2….nine months into a two year expansion.
The Hardcore server is actually fantastic for players who can’t cut it in PvP, because PVP doesn’t exist at all in Hardcore.
For WSG weekend I’ve noticed changing brackets really wouldn’t help since 59s are twinked out in full TBC gear, facerolling people in vanilla gear and 69s are decked out in wrath gear, facerolling people in TBC and sometimes still some vanilla gear.
There’s people with 12-20k hp in the 69 bracket where normal levelers have 4-6k. Some leveling 68 and 69s have up to 9k, but they get rolled too.
Horde also have a lot of twinks every game where Alliance are lucky to get 1-2. Horde typically have 3-4 at least every game. Not sure why anyone would enjoy facerolling people with less than half their hp endlessly, but these people ruin the game for everyone else. XPOff should either be removed from the same queue as XPOn, or everyone’s ilvl in sub-80 games should be scaled to the same ilvl. IE: all 69s should have their item levels adjusted to ilvl85 or whatever.
I know nothing will be changed since hardly anyone even does classic PvP, but I figured I’d throw it out there for the record that the current state of sub-80 PvP is a pathetic joke in classic.

wsg is imo a crapshow this gets the worst of this. as its here the twinks feast in mid mashing kills. or pushed to the gy camp murder fest. Its less work for them.
The others are more objective based. Dammit we have to go up that hill to steam roll lm. Sigh…autoride up hill is work, ugh.
sub 70 needs work really. I didn’t mind 70 and beyond. there by 71/72 with some work you got full brutal gear. Older gem it up, get the older enchants to save some gold (they don’t need top BIS for ICC seasonal stuff imo).
Even the crafted for tbcc don’t have slots till…70. So that line of buy/make crafted gets thin too.
Basically at 70 to 79…you get a fairier shot. And live longer. One can’t “git gud” when insta-deleted.
Today I tried one game in the 69 bracket. Horde had 5-6 xpoff twinks in full wrath gear. We actually had one of our own, which is rare, but unfortunately they just stood in the back afking because they didn’t want to fight other twinks I guess?
XPOff twinks afking seems especially weird to me. You aren’t there for honor or XP, you made a character for no other reason than to be a big dog in lowbie BGs.

I entered a 49 wsg on my priest two nights ago and got one shot by an ele. I left.
You will get one shot by an ele at 80 too

Come to the 79 bracket its way more alliance dominate
It has the fairest pvp seen in leveling, imo. In this bracket I feel no pity for the gem-less/enchantless.
Even the s6 stuff goes for cheap usually. as it’s pretty much crafting levelers selling off thier leveling stock pretty cheap. they want some gold back from that.
Sell that at current “BIS” season gold rates…okay, worst case we’d jsut buy that and they can vendor off the leveling crap for peanuts really. 20 gold is better than 2 gold (if that even) lol.

Lets take small steps. Forums can’t even update pics yet lol. My charr has logged off/in forums a few times. I still don’t see my furious+ upgraded on avatar lol. Oh well.
79 is so much fun! Just wish the queues popped a little faster on the “off” nights.

Did a bunch at 70 and we won a lot. Some games were Alliance vs. Alliance, so I guess it is a popular Alliance bracket.
Still obnoxious to have to deal with people with 2-3x your hp when you’re in normal leveling gear, but at least every game isn’t half horde twinks in that bracket.
As the macro goes: L2PvP, scrub.
