Twin Peaks BG is unbalanced in favor of the Horde by map design

And I actually see it clearly why its unbalanced.

So Twin Peaks is a Capture the Flag type map yeah? And both sides’ flags are in their respective bases.

But there is a clear difference between the Bases from a gameplay design that I think tips the balance in favor of the Horde in this fashion:

Both bases have 2 entrences/exits, but on the horde base, one of the exits leads to water. And usually Alliance Flag stealers would have to go through that way to avoid the Horde players that would usually crowd the front entrence.

But the Alliance base has no water at their side entrence/exits so thus they won’t get slowed down by any obsticle like water.

So from the perspective of playing as the guy to steal the flag, if your alliance taking the side exit leads you to swim in water thus slowing you down for the Horde to catch you with the flag. But a Horde player can easily escape to the Side exit of the Alliance base because there is no obsticle. If I were on the horde side as a paladin I can just cavalier out of the alliance base like that if I go through that side exit.

So this is why I think Twin Peaks from a map design is too favoring for Horde players when they want to steal the flag.

I await any responses.

That and the Horde graveyard is pretty close to the Alliance base compared to the Alliance graveyard to the Horde base.

Came here for talk of Dale Cooper…let down

Sounds like you need a dk on your flag running team.

Yea this balances out the map advantage alliance has had in AV since forever!

I actually like the fact there is water. Makes it easy to go into swim form as a druid and just swim all the down the river without being seen with the flag. Plus with 200% boost to movement its super quick.

Lest we also forget the Battle for Gilneas BG, though.

Or a druid, or a shaman, or a priest.
