Turning off Icecrown event

I wanted to finish some Argent Tournament stuff while I was in Icecrown, but it seem like none of it works with the event going on. I can pick up quests in the tent from the Silvermoon people, but I can’t turn them in. I also noticed that I can’t even enter the raid instance or 5-man.

Is there a way to turn off the event? Like a bronze dragon or something?

Nothing that obvious.

Either don’t start the event to begin with, so Icecrown never gets phased, or party sync with someone who hasn’t started the event and stay partied with them long enough to accomplish whatever you’re planning.

Or wait out the event.
