they should just add a mount version and leave Zen Flight alone imo.

Nooo. I really don’t want this. You can do so many silly shenanigans on Zen Flight. There are spells you can cast without breaking, you can fish!! I LOVE fishing from my little cloud.
I’m scared to say this bug out loud for fear of them “fixing it”, but if you use Zen Flight and THEN use your mount, you’ll be in regular flight form (not dragon flying). So you never have to switch flying modes again.
I worry all these little nuances would go away if they made it into a proper flying “mount”

I have to assume the reason it is what it is is so that it doesn’t step on the paws of druids. If we had an instant full-flying mount that also let us mine, botany, and even fish, i think there would be an upROAR.

I would love to surf around on a Monk exclusive cloud mount. Even better if we could get different colors.

This was normal during Dragonflight, but it rarely happens now - at least in my experience.
But, yeah, leave Zen Flight alone. Far better to ask for a cloud mount than screw with something many of us find useful.

It happens to me literally every time lol. And not “hyperbole”-literally. Literally-literally. I use it every time I play, and it never fails.
So that’s…. odd.
But typical for Monk I guess lol.
It’s only on my monk that my xmogs go super weird and I have 3 weapons equipped for some reason.
Consider yourself lucky, then.
In DF, you could either mount up and Dragonride, or it would act like Steady Flight until you landed. Now I just drop like a stone if I try to mount up from my cloud, so I have to make sure I’m either high enough up to get on the mount before hitting the ground, or low enough that it doesn’t hurt when I land and interrupt the cast.
I wonder which one of us is bugged?

Yes like a flying nimbus from Dragonball.
I’ve always advocated the Monk should just lean off as much Dragonball Z themes as possible.

Hey!
So today I decided to not use Grandmasters Companion and instead use Yu’lei Daughter of Jade, and I noticed when I tried this tech, I fell to the ground lmao. Like you said!
For a second, I thought my bug vanished, and I was super sad.
But then I had the thought to try again with Ban-lu – THAT’s the key.
For any other flying mount, I fall out of the sky, but I’m not falling when I go from Zen Flight → Ban-lu
Try that next time you’re on!

This worked for me. Very interesting.
Doesn’t work with the Felscorned Grandmaster’s Champion, though that’s not really surprising. They just phoned that one in for Lemix. It doesn’t even have Ban-lu’s lines, much less new fel versions…
edit: I just mounted up from my Zen Cloud to a different mount (the Lunar Rocket) and was put into Steady Flight instead of falling…
The cloud disc mounts already exist so 90% of the work is already done. They would just need to change the cloud effects to chi green, make them denser, and remove the disc.
I use the Red Flying Cloud on my monk.

Noooo. No.
I use zen flight in such creative ways my friends will sometimes remark at it. If it’s a mount it has a cast time and you can’t do all the cool stuff as a result.

They already changed Zen Flight once (I think it was an unintended change) and it removed the ability to harvest/fish/interact while on it and everyone lost their minds. It was quickly fixed. They’d have to make it a completely separate item. I for one would take the current Zen Flight over it being an actual mount every time if it was one or the other.

Mmm thank you this thread for letting me know I can fish from my little cloud too, even when hovering above the river. Playing a Monk just gets better and better! Yes keep Zen Flight as it is with all it’s quirks, it’s special 
I must admit though, having been a fan of “Monkey” in my childhood, I secretly want to whistle up a cloud mount, jam my staff into it and zoom off into the heavens to go kick havoc, so a new cloud mount in addition would also be great fun. I do use the Red Flying Cloud disc quite a lot !
