Leveling a character. Chose the Burning Steppes. Simply unable to kill Whelptamer Akumi (not even close). Can do everything else just fine. Totally blocked from going forward without this.
I understand my problem is I need John J. Keeshan? I somehow lost him. There seems no way to get him back?
So really, it seems this one thing makes it impossible to complete the zone?
A few things I can think of to try and get Keeshan to respawn:
(1) Try leaving Burning Steppes and coming back.
(2) Try relogging.
(3) Abandon the quest and pick it back up.
-Abandoning and picking up didn’t work.
-Relogging didn’t work.
-But leaving the zone (in disgust) and relogging the next day and coming back did fix it.
Also found out that he agros every mob he can as you cross the plane and if you, or he, dies you have to go all the way back to the quest hub.
Horrible quest. It will leave you stuck on the whole zone if you don’t know what to do and it has a bunch of stuff that is a pointless pain in the rear end.

Currently the quest has problems as with many that requires a npc to be present. A good trick is just abandon the quest, log off for 10 mins and everything restart(this is a good tip for whenever you get this problem again). I learnt it from a quest in the swamp of Kalimdor(where theramore used to be) to help a npc
