Turbulent Timeways event clarification

There are 6 dungeons in the event that span from Week 1: Battle for Azeroth, Week 2: Mists of Pandaria, Week 3: Burning Crusade, Week 4: Warlords of Draenor, Week 5: Legion, and Week 6: Battle for Azeroth. Does this mean for a player to get the mount Chrono Corsair he/she needs to do 1 dungoen per week or multi dungeons per week and gain a stack of “turbulent mastery”? I would really hate to park an alt for 6 weeks and have that alt miss out on the belt if it’s the second option.

Thank you for the answer.

Multiple ways to complete - but the key is the buff that counts for the weekly credit requires completing five TW dungeons, lasts two hours, and will refresh if still active upon completion of a TW dungeon.

If you don’t want to run five dungeons each week, then you’ll need to either refresh the buff before it expires or not play the character with the buff for too long until the next week.

If you want to use different characters or let the buff expire, you’ll need to do five TW dungeons each week.

That is what I’m afraid of. If that’s the case, I have to get the buff on one alt and park it for 6 weeks. this means the alt won’t get the belt. This is not good.

IIRC you need to do four dungeons for the buff, five for the chest, and then if you park an alt and don’t play it. You just have to do one dungeon a week to get the mount.

If you want you can just make a new level 10 character and use that to get the mount on, that way it doesn’t disrupt your current alts.

The belt isn’t detrimental to anything, it’ll still be there after five weeks. And use a low level alt instead of an 80 then.

Edit: Shock is all over it! This is the best way:

There’s an article up on wowhead basically lambasting this belt thing anyway. Apparently it’s massively under-tuned and will maybe make like single digit percentage difference to peoples dps anyways. Blizz will probably end up buffing it like they did with the sirens isle ring but if they don’t, you can safely ignore its existence.

I may level an alt to level 10 and use that to get the mount. i really don’t wanna have an alt not get the belt. Thanks all.

Make an alt that’s an allied race, they start off right at 10 so you don’t even need to level either

Just do the five dungeons each week then.

You can let the buff expire after you earn it for the week, then do five more dungeons the next week to earn it again

Thanks for the tip

You can skip that leveling process if you have any of the allied races unlocked. They start at level 10.

I was actually more interested in leveling a bunch of alts quickly in them, but now that they are buffing health of bosses and slowing down XP gain, it’s going to take longer…blah.

Yeah I made a Zandalari alt and he is parked in org now just ready for the event to start. I have 4 alts that I mange and keep up to date, but once legion remix hits i intended on leveling 5 more to have my options wide open for the future.

Isnt belt ONLY from the NEW delves NOT the time walking anyway?

The event lasts for this long to encourage staying subbed for the entirety of it.

I mean TW based on the link i saw is not how you get belt doing the new delve stuff is, TW mount all you got to do is run it 5 times each day on a toon for 5 weeks

Op was just wondering if he could get the turbulent timeways buff AND also play the same character enough to get the belt from delves.

A lot of people will do five time walking first week for the mount on one character then not play that character again til the next week, and do one more time walking to refresh the buff and get credit for a second week

ya ill prop do 5 on a alt next week hopefully only need to do 1 dungeon get the buff sign off week 3 do 1 dungeon again sign off repeat for 5 weeks I really dont want to do 5 tw a week lol esp with how they are breaking it and making TW harder and not fun anymore

They’re not breaking it.

Things will just die in 10 seconds instead of 5.

This isn’t the first time they’ve done a tuning pass.

Ill make sure to save this when you see tons of TW posts in 2 weeks saying how its no longer fun
