I love how everyone just jumped on this as being racist. The Humans of Stormwind have been through a lot when it comes to the dragons. First it was the Orcs slaving the red Flight as a weapon. Every Human would have some sort of remark about that, yet the Orcs were never punished for it.
Turalyon would only have known about what the Orcs did to the red Dragon Flight during the second war. He would know nothing about what the Black Flight was doing, infiltrating Stormwind while he was gone.
That flight was responsible for:
-Getting Varian’s wife killed and starting the Defias Rebbelion
-Kidnapping Varian and splitting him in two
-Imprisoning many of the Alliance commanders, including Bolvar
-Allied with the Black Rock orc clan
The list could have been far worse as Ony was on the throne, who knows what she could have done if not exposed.
Shaw and Turalyon aren’t racist for being cautious at all. Shaw would experience everything till this point. Turalyon would have only had second hand reports. The reason he wants to find a way to detect the new Dracthyr is the Horde could use them to attack Stormwind just like the Blood Elves used that trick at Theramoore. To be quite honest if I was in his shoes, I would be too cautious after all the stories I’ve heard when being away.

I’m more shocked that there is actual Alliance content on in the Alpha to share and test.
I mean, how many times have we heard “We do the horde side first and then the Alliance side.”, or “We’ll be releasing the Horde side first to test than the alliance at a later date.”?
Something is definitely not right at Blizz…

In fact, Turalyon is outright not racist as he is not labeling them as a whole based on the many negative experiences and stories he live through and heard about dragons; he is willing to trust Alexstrasza and the Dracthyr but also wants securities in place based on those past experiences and stories. Dragons do have a history of infiltration and subterfuge…
Although you make some good points, everyone in Azeroth has been through so much more since then.
For example, a God (Devil) in space literally stabbing the planet with a giant sword.
We have blown past any reasonable reason to be angry and not want to work with any form of life on Azeroth. We know we are now dealing with existential threats.
So to come back from literal Heaven and then see “omg a Dragon, I just can’t even right now” is a little bit jarring and frankly, ridiculous.

Um, both of those threats ended because we FOUGHT BACK. So to see another possible threat after multiple world-ending ones only to say “it’s fine” would no make any sense at all. In fact, after all of these threats to Azeroth everyone would be more on edge than ever.
What does this mean? We aren’t the elves breeding with humans.

blood elves got massacred once. turalyon goes on his crusade, there won’t be a population left, only like twenty blood elves.
Turalyon’s usually had a history of letting past experiences color his view of things.
No different from anyone else, really. I’d say reserve judgement on his attitude until he starts foaming at the mouth and ranting about “impure heathens who do not worship the light.”
Until then, I’ll chalk up his reaction to healthy paranoia.

Honestly? I’m sort of with him here. The fact that dragons have been shapeshifting in order to hide their true natures just like dreadlords have done has always been pretty sus. If they’re going to be friendly, they shouldn’t be able to do that.

It is Humans, what do you expect? I think they are the race with the most enemies in the Horde.

Hated by he Blood Elves
Hated by the Forsaken
Hated by the Goblin
Hated by the Zandalari
Etc.
I think is the same way in the Horde with the Orcs.
Only one thing to do… time to send both, Humans and Orcs to their own faction.
