I think it’s really hard to say how these changes will impact each class. In the past I’ve seen changes that looked tiny end up having a huge impact and the opposite where changes looked impressive but ended up not making the difference I thought. Due to so many different modifiers in this game it’s really hard to say. I’ve already seen some DK’s who initially thought the Unholy buffs were terrible walking that back.
Its more dps then what you lost. Festermight buff alone is like 7-10% during your cds 3-5% overall. Wounds buffs another 3% and makes doomburst good again. The buffs are really good.
I dont think its something a lot of people believe would solve resto shamans issues, its more so that doing damage as a healer is really fun and can help healers actually help contribute to games ending. Its just a good way to get healers to queue more imo, the main annoyance of playing a healer (depending on the spec) in pvp is that you dont have nearly as much control as a dps at least in shuffle.
I think they need to make earth shield purge 1 stack at a time rather than the entire earth shield at once, that would probably help rsham a lot i think rather than pure hps buffs.
no it is not. unholy still has pvp nerfs applied to spells that haven’t been relevant since bfa. the main issue is that every expac they nerf the base spell rather than the temporary system buffing its damage, then they remove the temporary system and never remove the pvp nerf. the result is that unholy is a pathetic shell of what it is supposed to be. even a 10% buff is an insult, it needs to be 35%-50% buff.

poison/disease dispel, every caster has a form of this and so does ret, enh, and probably others i’m missing
clash is a genuine awful ability. 1 minute charge that only works consistently if both you and your target are on even terrain. the fact that your counting this as utility is wild. the only use case for clash is gripping for double leg sweep but you need to use it perfectly to get that off.
1 knock up, that DR’s rop. (mages, druids, shamans, evoker, all classes that have drac’thyr all have 1 or more knock up)

Maybe some, but if you go through the Shaman subforums, multiple Resto Shaman related posts there specifically talk about them not doing the same damage as Disc or Pres Evoker as to why they were losing.

People are wild to say Para and clash are solid utility lol. 9 times out of 10 in Solo shuffle when I para the healer it’s just instabroken to random DoT damage being thrown around. Seems like such a useless spell right now with it DRing on other better CCs.
And Clash would be better if the enemy was forced brough to the Monk instead of meeting halfway. Moving someone 15 yards is insane lol.
Also one thing I’ll say about ROP is that 70% of the time if I’m trying to use it to save my healer from CC or ROP DPS off me defensively it will fail due to DRing with the Whirling punch Knockup. I wish they didn’t share a DR…kind of weird they added DRing to knockups.
