Apply pressure whenever and wherever possible.
I am excited for this competition. Canât wait to see the creativity, as the âone personâ who is going to watch this, according to these comments anywayâŚ
You folks complaining do understand that the people that fix the bugs arenât the same people that do contests, right? I know we all like to joke about the âsmall indie companyâ and all, but they do actually have multiple teams that all do completely different things.
Just sayinâŚ
I love housing.
Pushing out these sorts of contests is still tone deaf given the state of the game.
There are bugs IN HOUSING that still need to be fixed, like the item storage counter, the walls switching colors on their own, lighting not working outdoors, etc.
How about fixing stuff before going off on another tangent, hey? I miss my warband bank⌠that is not a hint or anything.. oh wait.. it is
Housing is nice and all but is this really the time to be pushing so much marketing without a single word from Team Blue Post on serious bug fix progress?
Iâd also be curious to know how long ago Blizzard entered into an advertising agreement with Zillow and if Zillow didnât actually provide some of the funding for player housing in exchange for that advertising.
A lot of folks even got an in game survey on what they thought of housing, basically data collection to be used to determine the effectiveness of the advertising. When has that ever happened before? That Blizzard adds a new system and then sends out a survey asking how players felt about it? Sure seems formatted for distribution to an affiliate.
This whole thing smells of C suite backroom deals rather than player centric features.
I donât know where Blizzards focus is right now but it seems to be more geared towards their partners than the players paying for it all.
This contest was announced long before these bugs were a thing. There are always going to be bugs in the game. Are they supposed to never do anything until all bugs are fixed? Are the teams that do housing, who are completely different from the ones who fix bugs (btw, again), supposed to sit around twiddling their thumbs until the end of time because there is literally never going to be a time when zero bugs exist?
Thatâs not realistic.
And the bug people arenât the same as the contest people regardless of where the bugs are. Iâm going to enjoy the contest for what it is and be happy that there are fun things to watch and do, all while still complaining, to a completely different team, that bugs need to be addressed. And you do youâŚ
At this point⌠yes.
Many of the bugs have been there for months, and now new ones are piling up every day.
I donât care who does what, stop promoting stuff thatâs full of errors, bugs, and clunk.
Housing is a W for them, but I fear they are going to do that thing where they are like âOh, something popular, letâs put all our eggs in one basket and bank on itâ like they did with artifacts and such.
Yeah, okay.
The people who told me that housing wasnât the main focus please explain this
This âeventâ is just an advertisement. The participants are probably even being paid to take part.
What is wrong with all of you?!?!
If you donât like housing and decor, go do some Mythic something-something-something.
If you donât like pet battles, donât do them.
If you donât like collecting, donât do it.
If you donât like playing with the AH, donât do it.
If you donât like PvP, donât do it.
Iâm totally looking forward to seeing what these teams come up with.
I have two accounts and HAVE NEVER UNSUBBED, so yeah, Iâm the target audience for this.
You whiny people: the Warband bank was fixed in relatively short order. How about you go to your local fast food place and complain about getting a french fry in your onion rings, and how that has now RUINEDDDDD your life.
ngl would rather watch this than arena sweats.
Good to see that housing is the main feature to be focused on in this âexpansionâ. /s\
Iâm looking forward to them experiencing bugs during this and trying to play it off.
Two things:
Happy to see more focus on housing. My partner super loves this and spends a lot of time with it. Iâm sure weâll give the show a watch.
The warbank situation is unfortunate. I feel like they did a solid this time though - turned it off before other âbad thingsâ happened and they communicated in short order. Check my post history - Iâve been critical of how theyâve handled this in the past, specifically for these types of situations. This was resolved adequately. More comms may have been nice but thatâs just a nit of a complaint.
I agree that limiting a contest to only specific popular streamers is pretty crappy. Itâs like saying, âYou can tune in to watch these sixteen people eat ice cream! But you canât have any.â Regardless, I enjoy housing enough that today I thought, âI will check out the Ideations and see if anyone is building a project that interests me.â Either my complete lack of interaction with these social media platforms prior is producing a dumb, or there is no simple way to find and view the actual content that was created yesterday for this event. Even WoWâs official Youtube doesnât have it. I am vaguely annoyed, but also vaguely amused. I guess I wonât be watching this after all. ![]()
They did. The team that does warbanks that is a totally separate team from housing, said they were on it and got it done so all good.
