Trying to communicate with Rated players

There is, its called a 20+ ilvl difference, Honor gear does not solve that.

Doing Rated content isn’t Elitist, demanding people do it is Elitist.

If you say so.

Gearing didn’t matter as much as it does now in PVP.

It was a much smaller gap.

I’m lazy cause I work and can’t play WoW at all hours?

Oh joy, the GD excuse of “I have a job” is back again.

blink

It’s a pretty good excuse since I work the graveyard shift, none of my guildies are on when I get home.

I work closing retail shifts.

It’s not an excuse.
It’s literally the worst one.
You have US top 100 raiders that have 9-5’s and kids.
My RBG group q’s from 11 in the morning til’ 2am and we’re pugging at all hours.

You should not have to do higher tiers of content to avoid getting demolished in lower tiers of content. If you do, it’s garbage design.

Either unrated pvp needs to reward conquest not tied to rating, or all gear in unrated pvp needs to cap at what you can earn by playing unrated pvp. Unrated pvpers don’t deserve to be the punching bags of the game simply because they don’t want to speed run dungeons or put up with rated.

And at the height of pvp participation, they didn’t have to.

The height of PvP particpation also had gear gears.
And low MMR rated is not a high tier of play.

K

Doesn’t change anything that’s going on, definitely ain’t easy for me to get a group, and even if I could we’re most likely going to get demolished because whether you’re playing with randoms or premades or guildies it does not lower the other side’s ilvl.

This whole thread is give me free gear for opening mah mailbox

Then join a community.

We’re not repeating it again.
It’s not easy for you to get a group because you’re not putting an inch of effort in.
Did all the people I help gear just randomly appear out of thin air? No. They joined a Discord they found on the BG forums, or found us on twitter.

Open your eyes, use LFG, and start actually talking to people.
And stop blaming ilevel. We’re playing with sub 170 alts at 1600 MMR.

Very good post. The other players who want gear for just opening mailboxes should read this like the OP.

Everybody that currently plays wow does have the option to just buy tokens and pay other people to get them the gear they want.

If you’re not good enough to get that gear on your own but you have an alternative and you choose not to use that alternative…

Well I for one don’t have any sympathy for you.

I’m only at 1800 but I am in full 220 and I beat the hell out of lowbies and regular battlegrounds and I enjoy the hell out of it.

Your first mistake was “trying to to communicate with rated players”

No we just wanna do Randoms without getting forced out by Gladiators.

You’re all 170? Or just one

LMAO ahahahaha, wow you’re sad.

Good job. Congrats! You decided to not give up and achieved your goal and improve as a player.

Imagine if the OP put in as much effort in replying and trolling in this thread, to improve instead. Probably would’ve been 1800 cr by now.

  1. I doubt you see more than a handful of genuine glads in randoms. Probably pve nerds who bought carries.

  2. Then you should be advocating more for blizz to cap ilvl at 197/200 for all random bgs. Seems like it would fix everything.

Pointing out a legtimate issue isn’t trolling.

You’d be wrong.

They do nothing but PVP or just PVP for the gear is irrelevant to the issue.

I would be DELIGHTED with ilvl brackets at max level.

I do a lot of random battlegrounds.
Most of the time I see a Gladiator mount on either team, they’re on some low geared alt.

Horde tends to have the Rival/Duelist players more often, because people will just merc mode while gearing their alts, usually resulting in Alliance having the team that gets steamrolled right now by geared people when it does happen. (Not to mention, larger community, so the chances of a geared premade being Horde is just higher.)

So, OP actually has an advantage, technically, because these geared players should theoretically be split between the teams, but considering the circumstances of faction imbalance and merc mode existing in the current state of the game, they’re not.

Despite this, it doesn’t happen as often as people claim it does.
:man_shrugging:

“It happens more to Alliance” doesn’t make it okay?

Solo queue for rated pvp would help imo. It would remove this barrier to entry that shouldn’t be there.

They sort of did this in Legion with templates, and WoD after a grind with their conquest gear, and apparently the participation levels were the lowest they’d ever been because people didn’t have a carrot to chase in unrated.

So it turns out it was actually a bad thing, and I legitimately wonder if they do reintroduce the WoD system, if this issue will actually get worse, because the only people Q’ing up for randoms are gonna be the “casuals” who refuse to do rated, and those of us hardcore farming prestige levels - usually higher skilled players, trying to force graveyard camps for fast honor.

The premades I ran with in WoD weren’t fun for the other team, and that’s what people are asking for. I’ll just leave it at that. The “gear” being equalized did not fix us sitting in graveyards for hours.
