That was hard.
What do you find fun about it?
The rotation and pvp potential, it’s nice to be a tanky caster with a bunch of stuff for survivability
Ele Shaman get my vote. Shocker, right?
Off heals, short CD interrupt, zero CD snare, hex, totems to stun, root, break fear, etc… Plus the rotation/priority is simple enough to pick up, and you have solid mobility with ghost wolf. Plus thunderstorm is fun. Useful too yea yea, but mostly fun.
elemental shaman.
So it’s really between Ele Sham and Boomie at this point. Anyone else have some information comparing the two?
Healing with a Battlechicken will throw you out of Moonkin form. (If you use the talented healing spells.) So after healing, you’ll have to hit another button to go back into Buck-Buck mode.
Also, Druid healing isn’t really that great. If you take Restoration Affinity (and you will since you want that healing ability), two of your three healing spells are HoTs. Boring. For me, druids lack that healing punch that, say, a paladin might have.
I don’t know anything about Shaman.
Shadow Priest really doesn’t have a great healing toolkit. It has a shield, a spell that hurts as well as helps, and one other who’s name I can’t recall at the moment, but its healing is based on the dps you do over the next few seconds.
If you’re looking to be able to throw out a few meaningless heals, Druid is an okay way to go. But if you’re looking to “save the day” with mighty heals as a dps, I don’t really think Druid will be your favourite.
I am in easy mode on my Shadow Priest (icy veins). I know they are very powerful if played to their extent . I also am having fun on my Shadow, I solo and I have had no problems.

Boomie or ele shaman.
As someone who raids on both classes, I prefer ele shaman ever so slightly over boomkin. The main difference to me is the utility they bring(and a bit of shaman bias as it has been my main for several years). Having a 12 sec cd on your interrupt is absolutely amazing, and it makes ele the best interrupters in the game barring prot pallies and maybe rogues.
On top of the interrupt, you have multiple different totems that can be a huge help in a wide variety of content. Aoe stuns, aoe slows, tremor to break various cc’s, and wind rush to give the grp movement speed if it is needed. You also have earthquake which will occasionally knock enemies up, and over the course of a dungeon or raid fight the effect multiple earthquake casts will have is not to be overlooked.
You also have a really good backup tank cd with earth elemental, which won’t do you too much good in raids, but can be an absolute lifesaver in dungeons. It can tank entire reaping packs, or buy your grp time to finish a pack if your tank dies and you don’t have a rez.
The rotation also plays really smooth, and is somewhat similar to boomkin in that you alternate spell casts to optimize how many you can buff. There are more lava burst focused builds, as well as ones that focus on your elementals and lightning bolt/chain lightning.
At the end of the day you can’t really go wrong with either of these classes in terms of rdps. They perform similarly in terms of raw output, and both have unique utility that they bring to a raid or dungeon grp. I would suggest making a couple trial characters if you aren’t sure, and spending a good bit of time just fiddling with the abilities and the rotations, just to see what strikes you the most. Both classes are a great time and should meet what you want in a spec.
This is all from a PvE raiding/dungeon perspective. I don’t pvp or even run warmode, so if you are interested in that side of the coin you’ll have to get that info elsewhere. Hope this helps!
