I find that hilarious to say the least. Do people actually browse other peoples profiles and do people check their own profile all the time to see what level they have?

Not at all. We had it before, for years… Were the forums worse off for it? No. You probably didn’t even notice.
these forums are the worst way to have an actual productive conversation. its mainly just trolls making insane wild claims on here.

If it wasn’t worse off for it and it wasn’t an issue why did they remove it and put the system we have now in place? I’m going guess there was a very good reason

The issue was a bug, not an intended feature. They fixed a bug with one of the Beta groups that many folks on the forums are a part of. That bug granted perma TL3 permissions to people in that group. Something NOT intended. They fixed the bug.
Meaning people no longer had perma TL3 due to that bug and had to earn it the normal way. Some have, some have not, like the OP.

Having a summary of what we need to do (or what we need to complete) to get TL3 would be really appreciated. For example, we need to read 20 000 posts but I don’t know how many I already red in the last 100 days and I don’t know how many I need to read to complete this prerequisite. They can reset this summary every 100 days.

My issue is you have to live on this forum to re-earn Trust level 3 once you’ve lost it, or keep it up once you have it.
because that was how it was supposed to work in the first place.

From experience. The more offensive you are the more likely you will be reported and the more likely you will end up suspended from posting causing you to eventually lose your T3.
Sorry, i quoted the wrong part. My position is that ita not easy to get T3 in the first place, and harder still to get it back.
