Trust Levels are a Thing

I’ve asked a friend who Knows Things™ and there is apparently a sort of goofy way to check your trust level.

  1. On this page, click the top right little portrait of your character
  2. At the top left of the box that appears, click the name of your character
  3. The page that loads should be something like:
    https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/u/YOURCHARACTER-moon-guard
Add ".json" at the end and hit enter.
  4. Hit Ctrl+F and search for "Trust". Pretty much everyone should either be at Trust level 0 or 1 right now.
TO CLARIFY: If the json says you are trust level 0, you are at Trust Level 1. Coding be weird like that sometimes. Trust Level 1 is required to post links to Youtube and Twitch, not baseline. Edit: See Jordariel's post below!

Additionally, Trust levels can be gained simply by:
  • Entering Topics
  • Spending time reading posts
  • Replying to topics
  • Giving Likes
  • Receiving likes
  • Not being flagged

I’m not sure what thresholds are currently required to gain trust levels, as the Discourse software these new forums use allow for the adjusting of those. All in all gaining trust is as easy as using the forums, and not being a jerk. P easy.

Hope some of you find this helpful!
