As for the forum police following you into the game…probably. We are here with the opportunity and privilege to play on the servers. And Blizz will do whatever it wants even banning.
Which is why I don’t take the game super seriously. It could be gone tomorrow no different than my job for something I probably shouldn’t have done.
I’m not going to dance on eggshells, but nor am I afraid to take chances.
Every time I log in the forum, I just look for inevitable green warning. When I have taken my jokes or “troll” like behavior too far with someone. Not everyone is here for banter or sarcasm; in fact, it probably frustrates them but hopefully they choose to ignore poster unless it reaches a certain point where it’s unacceptable
The OP made this thread in response to another that was 404’d because it contained very obvious Hate speech. That’s what they are referring to as Reprehensible.
I literally quoted where you did. But it’s okay, I see what you’re trying to do here. I should know better than to reply to people who aren’t being genuine.
People who troll as badly as they did in the last thread absolutely are risking their accounts and I hope Blizz threw the ban hammer at that last one.
The part we corrected you on was the “don’t” part.
They CAN and DO ban entire Bnet accounts, and all the games on them, for egregious enough forum conduct. You may not have hit that limit yet, which is great, but others have.
You’re pretty much saying/implying the chances of getting banned in the game for trolling the forums is nill either way, especially after the MvP told you explicitly that Blizzard bans people for any or no reason.
Jerry goodshoes can be banned tommarrow just for saying hi, and Blizzard wouldn’t need to provide a reason.
I was an English major. It is a very nonsensical attempt to argue. People DO get banned in game for trolling badly enough. People CAN get banned in game for trolling badly enough. You claiming they don’t doesn’t make it true.
The forum is social media. It’s not a stretch that bad etiquette here does not hold consequences to access of any and all content.
My work place has a zero tolerance policy for harassment and endangering. People who, while on the job, are professional not acting well outside of work.
We just fired two employees who did this.
There’s always consequences. Which is why my social media presence is literally with you guys. That’s the extent of my digital footprint
