Transmog: you guys are exaggerating

I don’t understand where the whining is coming from.

I’m spending 1k per outfit, I have an average of 2-3 outfits per character. I have 30 characters.

I didn’t notice the spending, and I’m not even rich (I have around 1,5 million gold across all my characters).

The new system is awesome, I no longer have to waste money each time I get new gear. The Situations tab is FANTASTIC, I can choose different looks for my characters depending on the circumstance, this was a very much needed feature.

The only time I need to spend money on transmog is whenever I decide to update my transmog to something new, which is something I very rarely do.

The only criticism I get is the loss of Legion artifact transmogs on any type of weapon. Yeah, this sucks, I hope Blizz listens and fixes this.

Those of you who seem to be in a need of changing and designing new transmogs… That’s a you problem, I’m afraid, that’s a very uncommon and particular way of using the system.

The complaints people have are
A- Transmog should be free
B- Transmog for low levels is too expensive (been fixed)
C- They make entirely new transmogs 15 times a day, and never wear them again, so the new system sucks for them.

Idk either.

Should it be ?

Like don’t get me wrong, if they ever make it free I’d be ecstatic. But I get why it isn’t free. I’m not sure why anybody would argue it should be free. What’s next, free gear? Free race changes? Idk

lmao exactly this

People like to whine and complain. The vast majority of folks will easily adapt to the changes and move on playing the game. It’s really not that big of a deal at all.

No, It should not. but that is their argument not mine.

Its not 1k for a full set, a 2h weapon alone is 900g.

It is expensive for no reason. why do i Have to burn 140k on day one to have ONE SET on all my alts?

This is the entire point of the conplaining, those of us who constantly make new sets will waste too much gold on this. Us who engage with the system the most are being taxed for no reason. There is no saving gold for us, the sets wont oay themselves because we dont wear the same thinf all season long.

Why are you cheering on and patronizing people when you yourself said that you barely change mogs, you dont actually use the system

I don’t know what to tell you, the average cost for me was 1k. My Shadow priest’s transmog was 700 gold… though she’s a void elf so idk

On the contrary, we’re constantly using the system because we get new gear. It’s huge savings for us.

It’s not a common thing for players to create 20 mogs a day, pal. I’m afraid you’re a minority here. I get that you’re upset and all, but you have to understand your way of using the system is uncommon.

Cause you are setting up transmogs for 40ish alts, who will likely not need to pay to mog again for months or even years.

Are you rage baiting?

Again you said it yourself , its because its a voidelve. Transmogs now are 2k for a full set

No you are not, you make no new sets you said it yourself. That is the only scenario where this garbage saves you gold. Everyone else whos making new sets all the time will lose gold way more than in tww.

You spend 2k per season othef will spend 2k per week or every few days

Those of you who constantly make new sets always wasted too much gold.

How many times do we need to explain this.
you don’t need to “wear the same thing all season long” even a week, even a couple days is enough to have made your gold back cause

All it takes is replacing your gear once
all it takes is swapping from one outfit to another
That is all it takes to be equal with the old cost.
New expansion? Replace all your gear MULTIPLE times while questing? well you have saved gold.
New season? replace all your gear MULTIPLE TIMES? saved gold.
Swapped from your raid outfit, to your dungeon outfit, to your housing outfit? saved gold.

It does not take much to save gold.

So you literally admit you will save gold with the new system, cause this is exactly the scenarios you will save gold.

You scream about “SPENDING 2K EVERY WEEK/FEW DAYS!”
But ignore you can make 2k in 10 minutes no problem.

I’ve gotta say, I was skeptical at first. But as I level my Velf DH, not needing to reapply a mog every time I get a new piece of gear is a godsend. It really is growing on me

it used to cost a few 100g an expansion.
now its going to cost at least 100k per season.

Its adding time and difficulty where none is needed and it only benifits Blizz and not the players. We pay a sub. we pay for the expansions. We shouldnt need to buy tokens to buy slots we didnt need to buy before. Transmog is usually free in other games. Its not that we have to, or shouldnt care if we have to pay, its that the game isnt good enough to justify the nickle and diming.

Bro why you just gunna blatently lie like this?
100g an expansion?
Bro it cost more then 100g to mog 1 item just days ago, and you had to mog items nearly triple digit times in an expansion.

How is it going to cost you 100k per season now?

Slots didnt exist before…

In some games yes, but in a lot of them it is not. (ff14, swtor, eso, maplestory, all cost) In a lot of games spells cost gold too, should spells cost gold in wow? In other mmo’s you have to pay for ammo, should we bring that back? In a lot of games housing cost a FORTUNE in wow housing is free. Should wow housing cost a fortune?
Almost like differant games have differant gold sinks in differant places.

Mate, your argument is that “we pay for a sub, and expansions, we shouldnt have to pay for anything else” is insane.
Ok mounts should be free, gear should be free, why do i have to work for anything if we pay a sub and expansions?

fashion true end game

:cherries:

*2-3 outfits per character, across 30 characters, at 1k gold each

*claims he didnt notice he just got bilked for 90k gold just to get dressed in the same clothes he was wearing yesterday

suuuuuuure

It cost 2.5k for me to save this transmog… and I have a few gripes… but nothing rage inducing… the system is still an overall improvement.

Issue #1: we all had our transmog on every character wiped… the least they could have done is compensated everyone the old cost of their transmog which would be ~200-600GP per character… instead we got nothing…

Issue #2: legion artifact appearances can no longer ignore normal transmog restrictions… I absolutely HATE being forced into using Sword & Shield as a Holy Paladin… any time I can get my hands on a BiS int 2H I do so, and transmog it into Ashbringer… when I can’t get access to an int 2H, I transmog my weapon set into The Silver Hand… but now, I can’t do that anymore… The Silver Hand can ONLY be transmogged over a 2H weapon now. I have no option as a Holy Paladin to use my Legion Artifact appearance regardless of actual weapon type anymore.

Issue #3: no option to hide weapons… With the situations system allowing for automatic transmog swapping, there it’d be nice to have the ability to hide our weapons when swapping into our town outfits… additionally the invisible fist weapon transmog still needs to be made available to all classes that can use Fist Weapons…
