I hate transmog I hope they never add it to classic versions.

However, if they do, I will try to look as stupid and as naked as possible.

I think it’d be completely fine especially considering he considering this as an opinion but depending on your class If your tear sets can look absolutely terrible Cough cough palatin tier 10.

Transmog for sure.

We will all be using the GS app anyway, there is no reason to need to visibly see if someone is 4 piece or not , we are all being reduced to a GS number startng on Sept 26th.

I don’t remember being able to tell much about the status of someone based on their HP. The question was just whether they were squishy or not. I did 2s in early MoP where we thought I’d get trucked as I was in high end PvE gear, but because of my tmog opponents did not focus me very often and then I bursted them down. Some teams realized it, some didn’t, but you are ultimately putting up a barrier for information gathering.

Wrath beta has been out for 3 weeks, prepatch will be soon. No xmog in the beta. It won’t be happening.

Informed about what? Pretty sure engi tools are banned, so you dont need to look and see the granulated pixelated boots and belt like intial TBCC, especially since those are now enchants in LKC and not physical items, in the event theyre unbanned.

Transmog has been out longer than not having transmog, and I personally never had an issue with pvping in retail with transmog, so really, please, tell me how transmog breaks pvp because you “cant gather information” about the other player that isnt already stated somewhere else on the screen.

As one of the weirdos who has already been farming up a xmog set for my main, in all for it.

That said, there’s zero chance it comes out anytime soon given they’d have to install the code into wrath and bug test it, including creating npcs for it and the whole works. It’d be a frankly massive project with the limited dev resources they have, and impossible with the little time they have left, and the more significant issues remaining.

Even some wrath private servers have transmog. I guess you’re right though, blizz is probably too incompetent to be able to do it.

I think it would add a ton of value to most players and clean up some bag space. Carrying T1-T6 in the bank is cumbersome. I won’t be playing Cata, so it would be nice to get the feature ahead of time.

For everyone saying “but what about PvP”…how does visual of someone’s gear change your play style? If they have better looking gear do you play more defensive? If they have weaker gear do you go full agro? You should approach every opponent with respect regardless of what their gear looks like. If a DK with a Shadowmourne rolls up on you in 2v2 arena, it’s not going to matter if it looks like a level 10 green axe…you’re going to get trucked anyways. I would argue that it levels the playing field for under geared players. I can’t tell you how many times my arena team has identified a player with a weaker weapon and we exploit it for a quick win. You’re unit frames will tell you the class and HP pool of your opponent. That’s really all you need to know.

surprised a druid is about transmog in classic considering your in your forms and dont see what armor you wear for a majority of your game play

I think TMog with a toggle as to whether you see it is a pretty good idea.

(But probably infeasible for the amount of work the toggle would be.)

I would do things to be able to fight in my 10 Storms set, and still keep it in the bank for that reason.

The real question is: why do you need to see their actual gear? Play against the player assuming they have the best gear possible. Are you gonna hold off on a clutch death coil on a predatory swiftness because the Druid you’re attacking is wearing blue savage shoulders instead of hateful? I never understood. And if people wanna hide their gear when fighting you, they’ll eat a savory delight or noggen fogger.

I’m not trying to be rude, I’m genuinely curious.
