Exactly. Now that was a “clown fiesta” (if that phrase has any meaning at all).
Imagine unironically believing the 1 million subs meme.
Anyways, subs went down sharply at the start of Cataclysm. Transmog wasnt added till mid/late Cata.
I can literally pull multiple graphs showing you the sub numbers at the time of Mog release…
How is is a “magical experience” to see characters dressed like they just walked out of Arms and Armor Thrift?
Allowing people to customize and explore a variety of looks and appearances is the best thing that ever came along in WoW, really.
lol
no
So many bites; I commend you my bovine beauty. You have really managed to cause a stampede.

Okay but one major thing…
The gear you obtained portrayed the amount of “effort” and “difficulty” you faced to obtain it.
Thus the magical “showing off” feeling and having multiple people inspect you in awe is long gone
i mean, if you wanted to judge a player by his gear, you can still inspect.
if a player wanted to show off a hard to get piece of gear, they can still keep the original look on it, and when you see it, it’ll be like wow he got that?
I think transmog has diminished the ambition to get a matching set via raiding or arena which is a journey but the reward is looking cool and stomping on weaker players. Too bad they scrapped that game design.
Yeah… but with the overwhelming amount of clowns walking around, it ruins the experience…
Most people have no clue if the item was hard to get or not anymore. They don’t inspect people anymore.
I for one liked looking like a mismatched hobo who was caught in a clothing explosion and dressed by his color blin3d mother.
You’re going to pull a hammy with this much reach.
Just…stop. Post #1 even said “this is an unpopular opinion, but…”, so accept that you got the hammering that you anticipated and move on.
The fact that you’re calling people who take advantage of transmog to have matching gear ‘clowns’ when Clownsuit is literally a term that came about to describe Outland gear is hilarious.

no transmog.
With the RNG of bfa.
And some of you are worried about clown suits?
What would you call legs, arms, hands, chest, shoulders and heads from potentially 1 of each faction? And oh the war front pieces too.
One reason why mog is real nice. Even if this game was only bfa items…it be clown suit fest. Hell my 115 VE S.Priest is right now. Outfit is all over since I will not blow pointless gold on an item that might be replaced an hour later. She will sport the clown look of whatever piece is an upgrade till 350+ really. Even 340 swaps happen fast.
Other reason its nice is how some like me get to keep my order hall armor. This char wears it. Lots hours to do the order hall. The full kit my reward.
BFA armour I am not looking too much. Horde side is too tribal for my tastes with the troll inspired look. And alliance side is just…meh.
If this opinion had made blizzard even go with your ideas the terror of all orcs wouldn’t exist. There be nothing intense among the alliance such as I the undertaker without my mogs.
What you need sir…is a shovel for your own grave to bury yourself. You put people who makes cameo characters lives out of existence. You have no right to surpress are creativity. For that you are not needed in Azeroth.
It’s still that way, you’re just not involved enough to know what the good armor is. I certainly don’t have mythic Uldir or BfD armor, do you?
Somebody wasn’t around for BC-era clownsuits
See, that’s one thing I can’t do, I’m too OCD. Every alt has the traveler mammoth on the action bar, as soon as eq upgrades are obtained, gotta poof that transmog.
The only thing I’ll skip on sometimes is weapons and weapon enchant mogs, until I’m sure I’m gonna have one wielded for awhile, as those are pretty high-priced
Yeah so now a tiny percent of people understand the gear, as opposed to everyone back then.
Your ignorance isn’t Blizzard’s fault.
