Transmog Farming Needs To Be Streamlined

About the only QoL change I’d like to see for old raids is the boss skip that has been available in more recent years. Ulduar is a bit tedious, as are some others. I’m glad I no longer have to farm ICC 25 heroic, as that was also a bit tedious. Not hard, just time consuming.

It would be a godsend for Dragon Soul though. I still need the mounts from there but…the idea of running Spine for the 1312901th time and dealing with the RP sequences just makes me not want to bother, so I don’t.

But it really doesn’t, because it means you have to get lucky enough to get it on that clothie. Otherwise you got lucky and still can’t use it. That means MORE time played for blizz. That is why they don’t do it. Also, makes sense to a degree

You do know those are two very different things right?

Difficulty =/= tedium.

So would we spend significantly less time in legacy raids or is it not that big of a deal? I’m confused.

Which is irrelevant if you’re farming legacy raids. If you have one of each armor type character and are farming a raid set, your chances would go from 1 chance a week to 4 chances a week.

Why even bother running the old content at all? Why not simply select the gear we want from a menu? That way we can “optimize” our fun.

Ain’t this the truth? I ran it forever to get the legendary, and still don’t have all the set pieces.

false, id be able to run more time as i dont have 10 of each character for mail, plate, cloth and leather. thus more play time. this literally works out to me playing more.

i love how nobody thinks about their own play time in regards to this. really think about that low drop chance piece that you want,(say its plate and you only have 4 plate toons, now you can run that legacy raid 10 times that week instead of 4.) if this was implemented, you would now be able to run for it MORE OFTEN, THUS MORE PLAY TIME.

god, math is not GD’s strong suit. its like every year people on this god forsaken forum say the wow token is going to sky rocket in price when xpac launches which is fully incorrect and all it takes is common sense to figure that out.

If you think that, then you don’t understand how probability works. More chances means faster acquisition.

yes because there is only 1 items in the game at 1% drop… lets make mounts, a more sought after commodity, all tied to something like armor type and see how this make sense.

Regardless, you’d still be getting everything unlocked faster if each character could unlock everything. You’d just be frontloading the time. Instead of stretching it out over years.

Irrelevant. If I have 10 characters farming the mount I will get it faster than if I have one character farming the mount. I stay subbed longer with fewer chances, because it takes longer to get.

and then once you get that mount, you what?

move onto one of 10s of thousands of other items in the game to work towards.

your argument would make sense if there were only 5 1% drop chances in the game, we all know thats not the case and it’s never ending. people whove spent the whole of wows life span, who have gone for 100% complete, still, OBVIOUSLY, dont have it.

Also irrelevant. It doesn’t matter how many items are in the game, there are a finite number of them, and a finite number that one might be interested in. Less chances will always mean longer time to aquire, which will always mean more money for blizzard.

Get the addon all the things. It gives you that pop-up for appearances unlocked and places a sound. Also collect a speed set of gear to speed your runs through old content where dps doesn’t matter.
