Entirely true, but I do want to echo some of the other statements made in this thread about providing the step-son with their own Battle.net account.
- A separate Battle.net account allows you to set up parental controls for the account that won’t impact your game play.
- A separate Battle.net account allows you to have entirely different communication settings, and it means that messages intended for you won’t be received by him or vice versa (if in-game or Battle.net chat is an option for him).
- While his Battle.net account won’t have any of the mounts, pets or other account bound items, anything he earns will be his on his own account.
- If he continues to play, eventually reaching 18, he’ll need his own Battle.net account at that point so will lose all those mounts, pets, etc… which can be more harsh since he at that point it would have been things that he may have earned himself.
- It is easier to keep your account secure, regardless of their actions.
