this is actually game breaking and its a shame there isnt more being said about it

Getting this message trying to take the portal to the Maelstrom from new Dalaran on this character all day today. My roommate on the same ISP and and wifi connection can enter the Maelstrom on his shaman without an issue. I had been there on this character as of last night and none of the settings on my laptop were changed overnight.
the best part is that so many people have this issue in Shadowlands and blizzard doesn’t even care to answer! this is the meaning of customer care!
always the same answers in tickets. reset UI, delete files, repair, bluh bluh bluh…! I have sent them system files many times in my tickets and again the last response was send us system info and other files! Comon!

Can confirm issue exists. Extremely frequent. Extremely irritating.
-Tech support suggested UI resets, clean game installation, basic network reset and temporary file/data flushing. Did not solve.
-Tech support suggested VPN, partial fix. Much less frequent.
-Issue tied mostly to Oribos and De Other Side instances, tested both with and without VPN active. Does occur periodically in other random instances around the game. Usually followed by multiple disconnects upon attempting to log character into game world.
This started happening to me today.
Every time I queued for a BG, I’d get the transfer aborted on the first try, and it would work on the second.
Also happened once when leaving a leveling SL dungeon run midway.
Coming in here once again to voice my frustration because it’s happening again. I was fine for like three weeks, and now suddenly Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found. Again. And it happened when I was streaming (not advertising), and it happened today again when hearthing out of Torghast. This is becoming insane. It is hurting the quality of my game play. This has never happened before Shadowlands.
Did someone break something?

I have to come in here and post an update because what just happened is ridiculous.
I took a flight to Elysian Hold on my monk. I got to the end of said flight from Oribos. I lagged out on the mount, and was randomly hit with Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found. This teleported me to the middle of Elysian Hold from near-death height, and dropped me. Surviving, I began running, and was immediately teleported again to where I landed the first time, and told once again Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found. WHILE RUNNING. ON FOOT.
I was about to queue with my friends, and I guess now I should be afraid I won’t be able to get into the arena. Note, I did not DC from anything else, lag in discord, or suffer any type of MS spike.
Edit: I called it. Queued for arena, instantly hit with it, got hit with a debuff telling me I abandoned the game, which I did not.
Edit 2: It happened again, for the second arena I queued, and I got hit with an even longer debuff, again. No lag. No spike. No MS change. No problems anywhere.

you should be afraid, i got that error while trying to enter arena and rbgs on multiple occasions.
I’ve found that if I clear my cache as well as delete the Blizzard Entertainment folder located in C:/ProgramData/ the problem goes away temporarily. Until it decides to return. At which point I have to close the game and battle.net and repeat the process. Though occasionally this doesn’t help.
Just happened to me for the first time, so it ain’t no firewall/modem/ISP. Got on a flight point mount, put my head down to rest my eyes, heard a noise like my toon took damage … looked up and I’m sitting in a pond 100ft or so from the flight point (damage was getting dropped mid-air). Tried to run back to flight point (Heart of the Forest, Ardenweald, btw) it just ports me back to the pond with a “transfer aborted: instance not found”. Any time I could get a little ways out I noticed that no NPCs were there either. I restarted the game and now it seems okay - the NPCs are back, I’m not getting ported and the flight point works. shrug
I’m glad this isn’t happen only to me, I seem to spend 80% of my time waiting for loading to fail or being hurled into the abyss of shadow lands.
I thought it was just them giving me the finger for canceling my sub, but apparently that isn’t the case.
They really need to work on that. I can’t even do quests around zones, its really bad.
This just happened to me today. I can’t teleport to Oribos. I can’t fly past or into Oribos either. I end up falling forever but not dc. Something is wrong with Oribos zone to trigger “transfer aborted: instance now found”. Please help.
This is happening to me as well. Happened both with a teleport portal from Elysium hold and a larion taxi ride from the same. “Transfer aborted: instance not found”. Stuck falling forever, with each fall through space “transfer aborted: instance not found”

Same started happening today as well. This has never happened to me until now. Blizzard needs to get their act together and fix this problem. ATM game is unplayable…
This is absurd. Our whole raid was having disconnection issues last night.
That was an authentication server issue, and they tweeted about it and did some server maintenance later in the evening.
I’m adding my name to this list. Been having problems all week.
