Professions were redone some time ago. The vanilla professions go up to 300, after that you will have Outland skills that cap at 75, as well as Northrend, Cataclysm, and Pandaria. Draenor and Legion increase to 100 and BFA professions go up to 175.
You no longer have to max one expansion’s profession to progress on to a new expansions, they will all start at 1. So if you decide to drop one and take up enchanting, you can begin at a BFA trainer and will have 1/175 BFA enchanting.
Your recipes tab will show you unlearned recipes and where to get them or you can look them up on Wowhead for more specific details. If there’s a certain recipe you’re looking for, I may be able to help you more though.
