Traditional flying is coming Tuesday

That would be absolutely fantastic.
Even a longer swap wouldnt bother me…10 seconds…whatever.
Im just envisioning an Ion here where we have to swap in orgrimmar, lol

Some of those dragonriding races have me going so fast I don’t even know where I’m actually going, just slinging myself around. A slower pace is definitely nice.

oh yeah…ive seen it in here from both sides.
Theres no reason to hate on either side other than to just be childish and petty.
DRing has a speed advantage…old flight as the farming advantage, at least on harder to get nodes, not to mention being able to hang AFK in air to run to the porcelain throne from time to time, lol

I’m looking forward to 10.2.5 giving dracthyr full dragonriding Soar. (source, developer on twitter) even if they don’t have plants for dracthyr static flying yet… I hope they implement that too!!

Same! That would be a huge QoL improvement.

Certainly there will be the ones who farm nodes in old flight who keep just missing live nodes because they cant keep up.
Best thing to do then is be more erratic in the flight path so we’re not in the direct wake of someone on a faster mount.

There will be some complaining, just like there was over boxers depleting nodes.
Blizzard needs to ignore it entirely when it does happen.

I checked the achieve on the PTR and unless something changes the only thing will be explore the new zone.

Embers of N… is the only extensive chieve I recently finished…

The only way DR flying is better at gathering than TBC flying is if node density is drastically reduced or the nodes are hidden from players using TBC flying.

I’m happy to have the option.

I did 10 WQs with DR yesterday and realized why I don’t do more, zooming past the required items, crashing while I checked the map, losing vigor trying to find things…

I like DR, but it makes the world painful…

People need to quit with this type of response. It’s disingenuous. You all know that the previous iterations of the game are not at all like Dragonflight.

DF was designed with huge zones and drastic amounts of verticality to take advantage of the capabilities of dragonriding. Questing and exploration on ground mounts in prior xpacs worked; it doesn’t work the same way in DF.

No other xpac has zones quite like DF, and therefore, previous iterations of Pathfinder shouldn’t be held up as an example of “it’s been done forever, so it’s no different this time.”

Just stop.

Back in SL, I made it a point to get all my ducks in a row to prepare for the patch that gave us the last piece of Pathfinder.

And when it dropped, I was able to log in, and got PF done in 2hrs.

Yay!

Of course, I won’t be doing that here. It’ll get done when it gets done. I honestly have no idea what I’ll want to hit the ground running to do in 10.2. Probably jump into the new questline just for the sake of the new questline and the zone.

This is my conclusion as well. DR is okay and even fun for races and zooming across the continent. For questing, gathering, exploration and the like, it sucks.

I’m excited to not have to fly my guild mate around all the time!

What’s there to downvote with their reply/post? I don’t see anything where they’re asking for removal of content or features. I know posts like mine can come off snarky, but I’m legit curious what the issue is here.

oh I definitely feel ya.
I was so excited for DRng…and I do love it…but day one of release I had a horrible migraine…no pain…I get the vertigo and all the visual and audible crap. Like right now, my ears have been ringing on and off for nearly 3 weeks lol.

So first day I could barely DR without nearly losing my lunch over the screen motion and the vertigo i was having. lol.
That highest glyph was murder to get.

I have ZERO respect for anyone in here trashing on fellow gamers who have legit reasons why DRing is problematic.
And we know factually that it IS a problem because they added a couple settings specifically to help with some of it.

Then I will not be buying the expansion on day 1 nor pre-purshasing it unless they reverse that nonsense decision.

Ion, not a dime for the next expansions until static flight is enabled.

Literally nothing gained …
like you still have to play the game to unlock the flying … just as it would have happened if the rep requirement was in place.

That’s easily fixed, they can just add a 3rd (actually 4th, but the old 2nd at 280% was removed) at 830%…
