Blizz missed a chance here to separate this kind of transaction from a normal mount. They should have made a new tier, labeled perhaps premium, just so people can wrap their heads that this is in a different catagory, because most will compare it to regular mounts.
Again, this isn’t me condoning the Greedosaur, but I think it would have softened the backlash a bit.
Although the gain far outweighs the cost, I think a number of people might be surprised at how much that mount cost to bring from concept (let’s do this) to execution (the actual making of it).
No one seems to be factoring in all the meetings (official and unofficial) and approvals.
You understand that for all the players that have not bought TWW Expansion, but own every one before it, the majority WOW 20th Anniversary stuff is broken, right?
If you havent bought TWW you probably wont be around after it either. Sorry but no sympathy. Im in the boat of if you want to play wow then buy the expansion
The issue with that one is MOST of us ARENT flaunting anything in his face here, yet hes taking his rage out on all of the ‘fools’ who bought the mount
If he could control himself and react AT the persons who are being belligerent towards NON purchasers, then he might be able to be taken a little more seriously.
This. Especially the second point. This seems to be the part the haters are overlooking.
It’s not required.
If you want it and can afford it (via irl cash or in-game currency), you buy it.
If you want it and can’t currently afford it, there are plenty of in-game methods for addressing that issue to allow you to buy it.
If you don’t want it and don’t like it. Just don’t buy it.
It’s really just that simple.
Spending hours complaining about a for profit company putting out a product people want to buy and are willing to spend money on is just plain silly and pointless.
Your insecurities are showing man. Just stop already. You are acting like a child screaming at everyone in here. You clearly have no concept of fair market. You think 90 USD is a fair price when you said yourself it’s not a tangible product and they can sell unlimited amounts of them. If you think it’s only about what the market will bear I have some Epipens I can sell to you for 6k a pop. Are you also on Eli Lilly’s forum trying to justify keeping insulin prices high?
I don’t have any problem with selling mounts in the cash shop, I dont buy any of them but feel free to yourself. My problem is selling one for 90 USD. It’s predatory and you know there were many people in insecure financial situations that bought it over groceries for their their family or heat for their home because of Fomo. Blizzard knows this too but they need to increase stock prices so they don’t care.
Can’t you understand that companies can and will take advantage of people and that some of us are tired of it and calling them out on it in the hopes they stop? Blizzard could have just as easily put that mount up for 25 USD. Why did they choose 90? Because some bean counter did the math and determined that was the sweet spot to get the most bang for their buck. It has nothing to do with celebrating their customer base or 20 years of loyalty. It’s a cash grab and it’s beyond the pale and deserves to be called out.
Your obsession with calling everyone son is just weird.
It’s a complicated statistic because it’s always the “household” being tailed. Which usually is plenty of people. The median is like the high 50k’s. So, that’s the average. If you’re in the 75-100k bracket. You’re somewhat above average.
Coastal city bias for sure… i mean taco bell out here starts at $17 or more… Thats $35K a year in a total starter no education no experience position… Hmm
Surely you can imagine life events that throw someone off track? If so, then you can just look at the current job market and imagine how hard it would be to rebuild at 50.
Life happens, man. Let alone any personal screw-ups, life finds a way to upset your best laid plans. >.<
See, the statistics get tricky too. You can find it saying the average household wages are 12% at 100k, but that can be 2 people at 50k each, or even 3 people at 33.3…
