Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur $90.00 Ripoff!

None of these people are actually people with real values and beliefs. They’re just here to serve as contrarians and denigrate anyone who spends their own money as they see fit on things they choose to buy.

there…fixed

the last two expansions have been just fine in that regard.
If you need a life replacement with your video games friend…thats a you thing.
This is a GAME…designed to enjoy for a couple hours here and there…not spend a human life in.
Other than some bugs, the game is perfectly fine for that.
its not blizzards fault some try to live their lives inside video games and are never ever going to be happy in it.

its HILARIOUS watching you desperate armchair therapists in here trying to analyze motivations lmao.
This particular analysis is the most laughable one yet.
This kiddie psyche crap stopped working when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old.
Maybe go try it on one of your gen Z friends who are gullible enough to fall for it. lol

Its a mount in a video game son. We saw what it did. Unlike you WE had the expendable income…so we purchased it and are using the hell out of it now.
Its that simple lol.

no short sightedness, lmao…its a mount in a video game. We liked it, We bought it.
You cant afford it, thats fine. dont buy it.

lol…I dont give my money to companies I complain about being scummy. I have higher standards. lol.
Complaining about product quality is fine.
Supporting scum isnt…and yet that one does it and makes up excuses for it.

If I believed blizzard was literal scum and were ripping people off Id personally stop giving them money…yet that one and a list of them evidently dont have the morality they try to project in here and continue to support blizzard.

People are free to disagree with me, but I’ve been on the internet long enough to know when someone is being honest and when they’re being flagrantly contrarian and inflammatory.

I am not interested in having discussions with people who offer naive viewpoints on the matter, because nobody with real-world experience could genuinely posit that the $90, in any capacity, is anything but Blizzard milking the hell out of its playerbase. This isn’t about keeping subscription prices down, nor is it about supporting the game. It’s just Blizzard letting the mask slip again. The anniversary doesn’t come often so Blizzard is charging whatever they think they can get away with, and it unfortunately worked.

If people want to buy the mount, I have no qualms about them doing so. I think it’s unfortunate that they do because it sends a very clear message to Blizzard, so I anticipate this happening more often from now on. But regardless, it’s not my money, so it’s not my say.

However, I don’t see why I need to extend any amount of generosity to anyone who throws out the most dishonest, disingenuous, and naive reads on the store mount. I don’t see why I need to give any person who flaunts the mount like some sort of affluent luxury item the time of day beyond pointing and laughing at them like the fool they are.

like when someone behaves like a child and insults others for spending THEIR money on what THEY enjoy?

lmao…it IS a luxury item son…NO ONE NEEDS to have it.
Its a costly nothing that isnt required to play the game.
Nothing about it ISNT a ‘luxury’ time, lol

its almost funny how much of a hypocrite you are…lol

CLEARLY its eating you alive son. youve been in here for days railing and foaming about it.
IF you DIDNT care youd have simple said “WOW thats too much money” and left it at that.
yet youve chosen to spend DAYS in here insulting anyone who bought the mount, thereby proving BEYOND ARGUMENT that you DO CARE that we bought it.

you can fool you…but you dont fool anyone who reads you at face value

yeah…its called “what the market will bear”…ALL companies selling a product or service do it son.

I CAN do a website for $200 that I charge $800 for…but everyone else will charge you $1500 or so to do it…so while I CAN live with 200 bucks for 8 hours worth work, why should I give it to you when I know what the MARKET would charge?

lol…
always begging for someone elses work for free.

It’s cute Liolang continues to respond to me after I made clear that I blocked them. Seems like someone is desperate to be acknowledged in the conversation.

normally Id give some concesssions here for that, but until you STOP INSULTING those who bought the mount, you’ll get none

I think it’s a fundamentally different game, in a different generation of videogames, while still being the wow we knew. It’s like if the 8 bit era was hypothetically right now, there’d be microtransaction in those games.

It more a sign of the times. That’s not me defending it, as I think ultimately it’s bad for the consumer, but we’re long past the point where we can fight it. I to don’t particularly like it at all, especially because a lot of older gamers know the time when everything was just in-game.

Agreed. I don’t mind cash shops existing, to be clear. I just take immense issue with the brazenness of Blizzard to charge nearly triple the average mount price.

I will say that there will come a point in which Blizzard burns its playerbase too hard with the amount of money they’re asking in return. I don’t know when that will be, but every community has a threshold. WoW players just seem to have a higher tolerance for it for some reason.

Old AH mount = 5 million gold at the time people paid for tokens to buy the mount upward to $800 worth IE back in BFA xpac. The new one is just $90 and roughly 1.2 million in gold cost. Hardly such a huge mark up in cost actually a massive mark down in cost for a limit time offer.

Don’t see the point of OMG this mount is such a massive mark up for the 1st time of any mount ever. Its simply not, players have paid more for other mounts if they was in the game on a vendor, they just paid to get the gold via tokens out of the store anyways. Which may or did come to be more than $90 worth.

The old mount was never $800. People inadvertently spending $800 on the mount through WoW tokens is not the same thing as Blizzard holding their hands out for $90 on the store.

And to be clear: Even if we were to count it, it doesn’t matter if it’s cheaper. A mount being priced at anything above $45 is excessive.

super cute you demanding others stop insulting people, son.

or…and this is just me brain storming here…you COULD just IGNORE the game store like I do in an ESO and…you know…NOT worry yourself awake all night about it.

Just a thought.

You need NOTHING for sale in there, but you PRETEND that you do so you can justify the rancid behavior over it.

inadvertently : without intention; accidentally.

LMAO…No one accidently spent 800 dollars son…
THIS is why no one can respect your jokes in here.

They KNEW the gold price…they KNEW the token price at the time.
NO ONE was taken advantage of.

you are REALLY doing this victimhood a disservice, lmao…WAY overboard even for you.

And just what is not the difference, if a person spends $20 a pop on gold tokens until they raise enough gold in game to buy a mount out of a vendor, and yes some did have to buy so many at the price level during BFA it cost them around the $800 level for that AH mount and was documented and others got away with spending less to gain enough gold.

At the end of the day people are buying in the store an item in order to pay for a mount they want or anything other thing that cost them gold in game. Or just in this case paying in the store money directly and getting without it being on a vendor in world. Now here is the catch, you still can use your gold in world to pay for it, by just buying in the AH token and converting those tokens to store cash $15 per token worth and poof you get it. So it works both directions.

Again there is no damage to the game, there is so many mount and items within the game itself to earn the so called old fashion gaming way. That what few you can actually just pay for via gold or cash, that sit in the store or on a vendor no matter the price, just doesn’t matter and doesn’t break the game. Its just up to personal choice if a person wants to buy it or not, or has a real use for it they deem with the expense.

As I said I already earned back a huge chunk of the gold I spent on the AH mount. And to me it was well worth the cost and the fact I don’t have to run back n forth to places for the AH or mail box anymore to conduct business.

You are CORRECT…back then the token price caused the end $$$ price to fluctuate wildly.

THIS time we KNOW the final $$$ cost…and its Sooooo much better and cheaper this time

If Blizzard wanted you to pay real world cash for it, they would have listed it on the shop as such. Conversely, if Blizzard wanted you to pay gold for the new mount, they would have listed it for gold.

Okay, man. Good for you. I’m not sure why you feel inclined to keep saying it. You don’t need to justify your purchase to me nor do you need to convince me that it was a well-deserved investment on your end. If you’re happy with it, what I say about the mount and the criticisms I have about it should have no impact on your feelings.

lol…not even a point.
They chose to make it a gold price first…and they chose to make it a cash price this time.

THIS time was MuCH better because there is no need to go thru the token but if one did the final cash price was 1/5 or LESS than the previous bruto BECAUSE of the set $$$ price being so low.

Those who have the cash can pay a SET PRICE…there is no variable token price to drive the cost from $500 up to $800 this time around

and you still find something to complain about anyway.

thats right…we dont…but YOU keep coming in here INSULTING those who bought it and then feigning victimhood when you get called out on it.
Its getting pretty pathetic …

nice try son but you AINT just critiqueing the mount or the cost.
IF you were youd have just said it was too high and not been in here calling us names for the last days.

sorry but while youre doing that crap, this aint just about the mount price…its about you raging at US over it.

As someone with a lot of disposable income, I’ll continue buying things I consider cool even if they are expensive, this game is my hobby and I have no problem dropping money on something I’m going to use for many years to come.

There are a great many people who waste more money on a single night on the town than what an item like this mount costs yet I’ll get far more use and time out of something like this than they will spending far more money on booze etc…
