How so, when they’re done by completely different teams and cosmetics aren’t what players mostly complain about?
Oh it was posted here on the forums when it was found out by player base that found the files for up coming next patch it what set it off …there was a lot of chat here about it being removed for months and even after it was removed still talked about too…a CS even posted their reason to remove it too…their reason was they didn’t want a massive amount players on AH mounts …now look at it they bring this new one in and its cheaper to get…they lied …
And here you are commenting about her or him now…hahahahahaha really…damn
It doesn’t matter if they’re made by different teams. Blizzard is Blizzard, and they have budgets and finite resources they have to adhere to. Putting a heightened emphasis on a cash shop can and will redirect resources and budgets to that team, thus putting a larger strain on other departments, such as development.
I made an offhanded comment because I entered this thread and saw dozens of hidden messages and someone arguing with Liolang. It’s not that deep.
Is that how it went?
I just remember the stink being about it being REMOVED. I cant personally remember any real raging about the price. I could have been on a break, however…
I’ll give them benefit of doubt on this to some degree.
I THINK they decided that the AH mount would turn the cities into ghost towns and that might have been the reasoning for deciding to pull the first bruto.
I THINK at some point they realized it doesnt matter. The game isnt gonna live or die over an AH mount…so they may as well cash in on 5ish years of our screaming about it in here.
I know Ive commented MANY times about wanting a new AH mount here.
I try not to assign any malignancy to everything they do…but honestly, they make it VERY hard not to some days loll
personally i wish the ignores were two way like twitter.
one of us ignores the other and we dont see each other at all.
Id LOVE that if they did it.

Ugh, sure. Now go look at their forums and try to find the complaints about the cash shop that aren’t completely drowned by class balance, bugs, gear systems, etc. Cash shop is an afterthought to most of the players.
I’m pretty sure Blizzard doesn’t just set an overall budget and all the departments fight for it either. The store would have a budget. The season teams would have a budget. The art department would have a budget. And so on.
There’s nothing going on with D4 cash shop that tells me it’s getting the emphasis over other departments. The stuff looks like it was made by interns and overpriced.
WOW is thinking about raising the price to $200 due to inflation. They said it took years to code that extremely special mount.
But in trade they may make it fly.

I’m sure they are, but that doesn’t mean the cash shop’s existence doesn’t have a causal relationship with those bugs, class balance, gear systems, etc. etc.

Huh? I never said they did.
If Blizzard has $1 million to make their next game, and they give $800,000 to the department responsible for the cash shop and $200,000 to the development team, that development team is undoubtedly going to be strained because they don’t have the budget necessary to iron out those bugs and gameplay issues.
I’m saying that the cash shop likely takes priority for Blizzard, and in turn that has indirectly affected the rest of their games because they continue to funnel resources towards it while expecting other departments to make it work with what they have.
And this isn’t something I am assuming. It’s on record that Activision has expected Blizzard to develop games for less and faster.
I cant personally remember any real raging about the price.
Yeah there wasn’t much rage over the price of the first one really…there was some but not like this new one is getting now…its funny all the rage here about the new one …
It’s absolutely wild to me that you’re convinced the stuff going into the shops requires a large budget and effort or that you drew the conclusion Blizzard’s goals to develop expansions cheaper and faster is due to the shops.
How’d you know? Were those your tracks ?

you know the hilarious part here?
With that $15 sub Id bet IF blizzard didnt have the cash shop and we couldnt buy all the extras that theyd seriously cut back manpower even more so that the game WOULD be suffering much more than it even is.
That OR…they raise the sub…likely to 25 or 30 bucks…which would enrage them even more in here.
I think this railing against OPTIONAL mount prices might be that cutting ones nose off to spite ones face or something something lol.
Brutosaur probably took a few hours to reskin the long boi, then they slapped a $90 price tag on it because they knew they could lol
There are game services in the WoW shop that don’t even require someone to man. They’re automated.
Whales like you are going to ruin world of warcraft. As long as these morons keep throwing money at the cash-shop blizzard will not stop using unethical monetization.
I think most people have pretty much established that this mount is a good deal and cheaper, compared to the OG Bruto. Regardless how you acquire it.
It’s not available permanently within the game, yes, but I rather allow such mounts to exists and the game to run (look at Sonys “Concorde”) than everything stops moving just because you felt betrayed by a company, who does not care for you.
they would only be able to afford having 1 employee working per shift.
Yeah there wasn’t much rage over the price of the first one really…there was some but not like this new one is getting now…its funny all the rage here about the new one …
I remember seeing the 5 mil price and thinking ‘nah, not for me, not for that much’ lol
Seemed like the forum masses were mostly behaving the same way on it then.
I can usually recall a big stink, obviously anyone remember drama more than the mundane.
I wonder why they are all getting so juvenile and ragey this time when its 1/5 to 1/8 the effort?
Seems almost like its contrived…or 3 raging sorts swapping accounts to make it bigger than it actually is.
Departments are comprised of workers who need to be paid. A higher budget means a higher headcount, and a higher headcount means a higher volume of skins being released to the store.
And it’s not just the store, either. There’s also the battle pass, which needs to be populated with new cosmetics and earnable in-game items every three months. That’s not exactly small potatoes.
Its cause its a store mount is why the childish rage from some folks now…they never knew how to grow up and act adult.

oh yeah…I got money on SOME of them raging about a $90 mount being some of the same who have defended that $60 boost price lol.
Which would be total hypocrisy.
Should scan thru some post history today just to see whats in there lol
