I think there are over 20 threads in here the last four days or so over this…many of which have been about 30-50% of their totally obsessing about our buying a flippin mount in a video game. lol

i wasn’t gonna buy the mount TBH. But then i saw the seething hatred, and the flow of tears coming down from so many people on the forums (as usual but still) and figured “what the heck”
Best purchase ever. i use it everywhere. ive already made 4k gold yesterday from selling some Tmog greens on the AH on my mount.

Is the reason that the dinasaur mount is so special to people is because it has the acution house and mailbox. making gold farmers gold farming easier with special utility for them?

I bought a second one I wont end up using a ton so I dont miss out in case I want it for later on…but yeah…I’ll change the motivation for the purchase on that one to “bought it because of the hate in here” lol
man…I made 150k or so just sitting by the crafting table, making crap and selling it all day long while I was doing other work onthe computer here lol
yeah, the mailbox makes it soooo much better if youre the sort who uses the AH a lot.
Its not worth the purchase if you just play the game casually and arent running to an AH multiple times a day, Id think.

Oh I see. So mabe people that don’t use the auction house much or at all will not know about the benefits of the mount for gold farming specialy if they don’t gold farm so they don’t understand why it so special. so this all one big misunderstanding right?

If they start allowing access to top tier gear on the auction house then WoW is toast. The mount is pushing the edge pretty hard but they haven’t crossed over the line for me yet. If Anything I consider the first Bruto more egregious than this one…
I would be willing to bet a large portion of the folks that acquired the first version spent more than $90 even if they did grind a portion of the 5 million gold… At least this version was straight forward and less than a 3rd of the cost of the first version…
Only difference is this one was cheaper and they didn’t hide that they were selling it for RL money…

Im not sure if some are misunderstanding or what.
I tried being helpful the first day and a half in here…maybe 2 days…but they are gettting more and more belligerent and insulting the more time goes by the last few days.
Its ok to misunderstand…they just need to ask…but THIS trash comment isnt just misunderstanding…its being a petulant juvenile about it…

I don’t know that Blizzard will ever allow the best gear to be purchased from the AH.
Rest assured, however, that this isn’t the last time Blizzard pulls something like this. They’ve been progressively getting more brazen with how they monetize this game, testing the waters to see what they can get away with. I am willing to bet big on the next big mount being anywhere within the ballpark of $150 or something.

Players should NEVER have any influence on how others gear up.
They should make our professions able to craft end game gear, but it should be bind on pickup so it cant be sold
that would be a horrible mistake to allow players to have influence on other players gearing in that kind of manner, totally agree.
We see how they overcharge so that only those who have a lot of gold…or money to buy gold…can purchase the gear they CAN craft.
Blizzard would be foolish to allow that beast to get any larger.

Blizzard has been very careful in disguising their P2W tendencies… They were careful to avoid allowing you to wear all crafted gear but they still played with the idea of allowing players to use gold to essentially buy all the high tier mats for the crafted pieces.
I think this illustrates that Blizzard would absolutely sell us gear if they thought they could get away with it, they have been afraid up to this point. We will see soon enough if MS is going to push the issue I suppose.
Now that is something I have wondered bout for ages. I tried doing profesions like leather crafting, engineering, etc. but it always seemed like I could never make items for my level. Usually could craft items for like many levels below me. I tried making guns too. but same thing. I kinda gave up on crafting stuff and just kinda relie on merchants and loot drops in dungeons.
Blizzard is horrible about this.
I think their reasoning is if you can make it you wont play the game …so they only allow you to craft it so far.
I really dont know if I feel one way or another about it…but its likely because Im not an end game player…Im usually good with the questing gear we get…because Im ok with not one shotting everything when Im questing, so my gear demands arent…well…too demanding lol
oh, lol. You know I can understand buying something that makes you happy. I can’t afford the dinosaur mount. And I don’t good farm. But a long time ago. I bought the the grand expidition yak. and i just love that mount. no matter where i am i can use the merchant to sell/buy stuff and clear my backpak and the transmoger is great. Whenever i get new gear i can transmog anywere. I just love my yak mount.

oh yeah…that was my first ‘big’ purchase. I think I even bought a token at the time for it.
I saw one in ironforge…first time Id seen it. I love transmogging in the game so when I saw what it did I lost my crap and got one lol
and see thats the same with this new mount too.
If you want to buy something…or sell something…or check your mail…you dont have to stop what youre doing and rush back to town to an AH.
VERY convenient.
I wish bliz would lower the price or let us gift a free one to someone with our purchase. Id love it if everyone could get this mount after seeing how useful it is.
