It would be horrible if that would be the case and Wow became popular again.
I’ve never understood why the logic of gamedesign was completely reversed in wow. In all other games, if you want to play competitively, you have to find a guild, a group of people with the same mindset. Guildless content are the realm of casuals.
But in wow, what struck me right away was that even in dungeon leveling I was expected to know all the mechanics already.
And what I find funny about wow is that very nice people exist. They’re really everywhere. But all of them, to say a kind word to me, to advise me, or encourage me, all of them, just go through the whisper. And every time I think “That’s nice, but he could tell everyone, DarkHunterRoxor is also struggling on this boss”.
I am a complete WoW virgin. I’m discovering the universe, the gameplay and so on. But I really feel like there’s a minority who are holding the rest of the community hostage, who are doing a lot of damage to the overall atmosphere of the game and Blizzard is doing nothing.
I absolutely do not understand how people can insult all the other players in a raid and then leave. This is the type of player that should be banned for at least a week.
Even your behaviour, Raiimir, I don’t understand how you can continue to post in this thread, criticise the op on how he plays and not be bothered at all. Before I played WoW I used to read the forums, your posts were typically what made me not want to play at all. Apart from giving bad publicity to outside players, I don’t understand how Blizzard can let this go.
And it cannot be said that there is no solution. Many games have tried many techniques to improve the general atmosphere. And in my opinion, this is the most serious problem of WoW, along with the lack of content for average players.
