Wasn’t meant as a slight. I really wanted to name-and-shame, but that wouldn’t be appropriate (or to my knowledge in agreement with the terms of service.) Call it personal catharsis.
I will say candidly that, while I have heard of this particular behavior, this is the first time I had seen it in person. And it was frankly surprising as this wasn’t a group that was particularly struggling.
But hey, people are free to believe or approach the topic as they want. I just would really like people to be kind to each other. As someone working their way out of a particularly heinous period of depression and anxiety, I have rapidly come to terms with the fact that this game may in fact cater to a disproportionately nasty part of an already nasty internet. It would be nice if, even should Blizzard do nothing on their end, we could collectively work to improve it ourselves (a fool’s dream, surely.)
