Lmao toxicity and salty people have existed long before gaming my guy. Hate it to break it to you but EVERY GAME has some level of toxicity. And you sat in some dudes stream being outraged that he was outraged, which gives him +1 unique viewer and +1 active viewer. If you commented then you gave him +1 unique commenter. All you did was boost his analytics LOL!
streamers that advertise always has the opposite effect for me at least imho. It just makes me want to troll you and make you have a not so fun time.
I remember in DBD whenever I saw a TTV as someone’s name as a killer I would purposefully use the most broken things I could to make their time worse.
Most of the replies here are just petty and sad.
I cant wait until Microsoft takes over and starts to clean up this whole issue, as they are known to be streamer-friendly.
No one is doing anything wrong trying to build up the dying pvp community.
And it’s not even Twitch. People are reporting communities too now getting people silenced and/or suspended when it doesn’t even say anyting about Twitch or streaming.
We’re not talking about gold or RMT boosting and you know this is not what it’s about. I report those people but self-righteous people have to try and ruin it for other people because it’s the only control they can exert over someone else and they get a high from it.
As someone who’s guild has not logged in for years now and is all but abandoned it’s nice to be able to easily make new friends, but for some of you that makes you rage and it’s just pathetic and sad, sorry.
No one likes people like you.
Again, the rules are simple if you wish to go against them by all means do so, the right click report is ready, waiting and eager to be used.
Crusader is like 155 lbs. He is the size of a kid.
Todays streamer is yesterdays garage band loser. A very few “make it”, the rest deliver pizza in their 50s.
I’m literally not a streamer and no idea where you got that from but either way, the backlash against people like you is starting to reach a tipping point, imo. Really curious to see how Microsoft is going to handle this in the future.
I don’t know who that is or if that’s the guy but yes, I found whoever they are randomly and after 3-4min of listening to him I turned him off. It was actual toxic, and not the kind that gets overused and twisted around so much these days.
He is probably the best PvP Hpal in the world and no one wants to play with him. Your opinion is widely accepted as gospel.
He wears a tank top and sounds like he smokes a few packs a day?
Yes, he was wearing a tank I believe so perhaps him, but it was a prot pally from what I remember. I was more focused on listening to his foreign-sounding GF try to explain herself over whatever they were arguing about while also reading his viewers insult her or call her nasty names etc…crazy stuff.
Advertising and promotion of outside websites for any reason has always been against the rules. In game and on the forums. The right click report SQUELCH feature that auto squelches pending GM review was put in game precisely for that adverts and spam. It does not matter if it is gold sellers, boosters, streamers, or girl scout cookie sellers. Nobody gets to advertise their websites/social media/whatever.
System working as intended. No, a few streamers upset they have to follow 17 year old rules is not causing others to “turn against” people. None of this is new. I have no idea why people would expect to be able to get away with breaking the rules…
They won’t. They stay out of the day to day running of game companies they buy. At least if we go by past history.
Blizzard has a program to work with streamers. It is run by the Community Managers and has been for many many years. If Blizzard wants to get eyes on a stream and promote it, they will do it themselves. They won’t let us use their game or forums to promote things.
Uh. You do realize that’s how streamers get noticed is through self promotion. Right? I’m not saying they should do it in WoW where it’s against ToS, but anyone aiming to make anything involving a business or create something has to self promote themselves somehow. This comment comes off completely uneducated.
Because the situation has now devolved into people mass reporting known streamers who are not putting any links or references to their stream in LFG and you lot are gungho to bust out the torches and pitchforks in celebration. So even when they play by the rules, they still get instant banned and this crap about GMs reviewing cases is a lie because they take 24 hours ro respond and then only say “we agree” with no actual reasoning. The game isnt going to be the downfall of WoW…
The toxic mindset of this so-called community harassing people and abusing the report feature will be.
Neat. Thank you.
I find it extremely hard to believe that streamers are being mass reported for doing the ‘right thing’ I think you’ll find that what’s happening is they will make some allusion to twitch such as…
Their name is Xxyyzzttv the last 3 letters being the literal acronym for “Twitch TV”
Group name references “Now streaming” in one way or another
Or description references that they are streaming in one way or another typically along the lines of ‘viewer keys’ Or some crap like that.
And if people are being targeted then this needs to be brought up with their respective services because they sure aren’t coordinating it in WoW.
Then its a good thing the person I’m referring to who got banned last night live on stream DIDN’T have TTV in his name, say he was doing viewer groups, OR that he was streaming in his description either. So theres all your reasonings out the window.
And he hasnt been the only one.
Streamers talk to each other and everyone for the most part outside of people who dont care were already made aware to stop putring that ish in the title and description, but now its to the point where people come into the group, find out hes streaming after they decide to start being toxic, get removed from the team for their behavior, and then insta report the streamer because they got called out for being toxic.
The fact that the majority of this “community” is being too ignorant to see that the system is being abused and just assumes that someone is messing up shows the literal lack of concern, and whats more are the multiple threads popping up on how everyone is happy to see people banned and how they go out of their way to report people now just because they can.
Stop being sheep.
Did he do anything i’ve mentioned in the first post I made in this thread and made any hints in regards to twitch, Advertising, etc in his title, OR description, OR tell people to go to X/Y/Z when they applied?
I always report people who advertise their streams in-game. It’s spam, plain and simple.
Well it sounds like your issues were with streamers, so the good news is you can solve that just by not watching them.
We have a whiner here. Nothing to see
Doesn’t matter what your streaming style is. Just don’t advertise your stream in game. How hard is that?
