I just wanna say your name, race and class make me very happy.
Well yeah, afking is bad and kickable. But being bad and not understanding you have to hit people that are capping a flag to stop it isnât an offence lol
Itâs absolutely exhausting trying to win when your team is deadweight, but thatâs just how it is. Queueing with friends at least reduces the odds of a bad/useless player
If i looked at meters iâd get really upset at how many dps and healers donât optimize their damage and healing and spend so many gcds not hitting abilities?
There is a very good reason I never step into rated or use any voice app in Wow anymore as a solo casual player and youâve just explained it.
This game is, inherently designed to promote a cylical culture of inferior and superior subgroups.
itâs all ego manipulations where we place value on artifical avatars and attributes and status that literally mean nothing outside of this game.
Just like literally every single MMORPG todayâŚsoâŚ
3rd party like discord, there is no accountability from in-game punishment or bans for this behavior.
And back in the day people did it on group websites and teamspeak, so what actually is your point here?
I cannot believe my ears when a player gets mad in a GAME and tells another player - an actual human being - to KILL THEMSELVES.
I honestly donât know what to tell you because that has been a thing since the internets creation. You should full well know how to just not listen to these people.
Listen I get it, I also lost someone I played this game with to suicide and itâs why I skipped Cata and MoP. However you need to realize your rant is literally just you trying to express your emotional health issues. The problem is you are expecting people to be on the same level as you perception and empathy wise and that literally has never happened in human history and itâs not going to start on a video game.
If anything the last part of your post feels more like you trying to ask for help by demanding everyone be kind to you for no reason.
I promise you that you have a lot of lessons to learn about life
The same could be easily said for you as well because youâre emotional labile and making all your decisions based on the demand for kindness because you had to experience something most donât.
I truly get it, I do I have personally been there but expecting other people especially the naturally wicked people to change because you demand it is nothing but the definition of foolishness.
This is the sort of MHP logic I can get behind. Well stated.
Iâve always thought the rated bg community is by far the most toxic community in WoW, I do lots of arena and random bgâs now and then but I avoid rated bgâs most of the time. Seriously I play other online games too and never heard anyone be as toxic as the rated bg community. Nothing you can do though since itâs over discord, and any toxic behaviour written ingame chat that donât include very offensive words to specific demographics are allowed sadly.
Thatâs not unique to World of Warcraft.
World of Tanks can get really awful.
Um. I remember bg chat being pretty toxic back in vanilla. This isnât new.
Itâs not just with WoW. âTrash talkingâ (is its proper name) has been a part of video game culture, for a very long time. I wouldnât take it, personally.
I have never come across negative people but never cyber bulling\bad stuff on wow. I have played for over a decade.
Block player, leave group. Done. No need to argue no need for anything just block the person and report then leave.
Jeeze. I have to say I would definitely thrown you in a dumpster.
You must be new around any sort of competitive gaming or anything group based, if your actually even slightly surprised by them bantering with each other.
Iâll definitely recommend hello kitty adventure land if your that easily offended.
Except that is never okay because you never know how close someone is to actually doing something like that. Some people canât âjust ignore itâ. Theres a massive difference between someone calling something cancer and literally telling someone to take their own life. Itâs not okay and its not cool.
When did I ever say it was ok or cool?
I have done almost 180 Rated Battlegrounds and have yet to find a toxic group of people on discord.
This I can agree with, one thing to call a player bad but quite another to tell someone to end their life. People who say that should get a perma ban.
Rated gameplay of any kind usually attracts certain types of players that are toxic. It happens in every game that has it, and WoW is no exception. Itâs possible to be competitive without the toxicity, but gamers just donât know how to.
