Yeah, you have to move it very often in M+ and raid. Sikran, Broodtwister, Princess, Silken Court and Queen Anseruk are the bosses you have to move very often. Imagine you have to use Totemic for Fyrakk, it’s impossible to play. Queen Anseruk is similar to Fyrakk except Queen Anseruk fight is way more raid movement than Fyrakk.
You have to track your surging totem pulses so you don’t miss surging totem pulses with Totemic Projection. The aoe around the totem is much smaller.
If you take the talent to increase the radius in the class tree and hero spec tree, the radius is ginormous. For sikran, just keep it in the center most of the time leading where the tank is going. If you’re moving it when the slashes go out, you’re losing more uptime when the come back to center than its worth.
For broodtwister, drop it at the start of each wedge, then place it in the path of the boss as the tank goes to next set of egg breaks. Leave it on boss if you gotta split for adds, will still cleave other adds even if you do as tank adds get brought over for cleave.
For Ansurek, just place it with a little overlap on her and lead with where the tank will be going. Maybe gotta move once to adjust. If you gotta move it more then that, the raid team isn’t grouping roots or goading the poison pools correctly
For m+ just wait a moment for tank to group, then drop on top. Make sure you have Oversurge and earth surge, save Sundering for DRE proc moments. Or at least save for end of duration on surging, for maximum rebound procs.
Its no more worse then mage using Ice Storm, or warlock rain of fire.
Did you just forget the name of the spell that is the same name as the company that made the game?
Lol I might have. Where’d Ice Storm come from?
