wotlk gives feral insta clones. casting clones as feral in 3s/shuffles is obnoxious. every melee class has a million CCs that are insta. Feral being melee shouldnt be relegated to casting CC. make clone insta. Slap a CD on it and make it a talent for all i care. replace it with incap roar and make it 30s CD or 45s CD or whatever other melee classes CCs cds are. make it even like 4s long.

Is Clone really that big of a deal in level 60 BGs?
This would break the game. Feral is already doing amazing damage. There was a time I’d have 100% been in favor of bringing instant clone back with a reduced range, but right now… that would be nuts.
that was a ferals damage with an augment. Granted, there was a lot of cleave off my pet and the DKs pet, but the feral still had more than double my damage to their primary target.
I was unable to keep my pet alive with mend as well. That would be a nightmare.

DHs get a million different CCs that i cant name, DKs get stun/silence/grip/frozen incap thing? honestly note sure, rets HoJ/rep/blind, hunters trap/stun/scatter, who else… monk stun/incap… i guess enhance gets boned here with us so ill take that L. Maybe sham/feral being hybrids earlier in the game’s life just gutted their CC potential because “mUh hYbRid” and now ferals are just stun bots and enhance just literally does damage. they forgot to treat them like actual melee classes and pretend that we somehow have an advantage being hybrid melee so we should get less of the good stuff? idk.

So, what you’re asking for is to give cyclone a cd and make it dispellable? Sure, if we do that, they can get instant clones.

right? like its not that big of a deal. its honestly located perfectly if you replace incap roar talent with it. because that talent spot is a choice between Bash (our Stun) and incap roar. So it would be a choice between another stun, or the insta clone which we could slap a CD on it of like 30-45s. ezpz

Except, Clone isnt like any other cc in the game. Literally the only cc that cant be broken, target cant take damage and the target cant be healed.
I cant remember if feral has access to high winds too but that makes it even stronger.
Hard casting anything at all in retail is obnoxious because of how much cc and mobility are in this game. Being required to setup a hard cast on one of, if not the, strongest cc in the game makes it more balanced.

It is. Not the same as just regular dispel that every healer has. They gave examples of other CDs that are instant, but can be dispelled.
If they want clone to be instant again, it would need to have saw drawbacks.

I hate how people try to balance things around arena. In regular battlegrounds, feral is generally considered a terrible spec. You are constantly snared which forces you into endless amounts of global cooldowns from trying to shapeshift out of them. This results in lower damage and a very unpleasant playstyle. That’s why I rarely ever see feral in battlegrounds.
Yes, I know this is an arena post… but the point is I’m tired of arena being the “endgame” for pvp balancing when classes like feral obviously have major issues.

also, feral is a stealth ambush spec. They shouldnt be capable of running around in the middle of a massive fight and be fine. And unlike other melee, they have a free out of snares and roots with no cd other than 1 gdc.
Feral isnt like its old world version where you were both bear and cat at the same time and has to play differently.
I dont think feral has low play in bgs just because of what you describe but rather because rogue is just better at the same playstyle.
its too late you guys. the Glad had spoken. it would make feral a worse spec. which all of you want, as non-feral players. So we shall accept our worse fate and receive the insta clone. And since we’ll be worse anyways, we shall propose a new addition to make us back to our original status, by adding in a Gouge as well. 4s duration. Lets say 20s CD. I’ll accept 30s CD as well. Rake stun, maim, bash, instant roots isn’t enough, gotta make clone instant too as if it isn’t easy enough to setup your own clones as feral for the free damage after.
People just want everything free in this game.
bash wouldnt be an option with my proposal so that wouldnt be a problem. and stun bots is what ferals are, thanks for alluding to what I’ve been trying to say. (we’re stun bots). also lets make it even easier for everyone, ferals cant cast clone anymore. they just have the insta one, which has a CD of 30-45s. we could even do 45s-1min if its too much.
